Citizenship: "When did you first arrive lawfully in Australia?"
4kusnik replied to ozziepom's topic in Citizenship
Hi Ken, Could you please clarify why my 4 year residency period commenced on 9 Jan 2015 and I will be eligible for citizenship on 9 Jan 2019. If 4 year residency started from 9 Jan 2016 then I presume The date of eligibility for citizenship should be 9 Jan 2020. Thank you. -
Citizenship: "When did you first arrive lawfully in Australia?"
4kusnik replied to ozziepom's topic in Citizenship
Hi guys, I would highly appreciate if you could clarify few points from Residence Calculator. I was granted a PR visa offshore and on border website it is written: I was granted a PR visa on 3 Oct 2014 and arrived to Australia first on 25 Dec 2014 to activate my visa. Then I came back to my home-country on 6 Jan 2015 and returned back to Australia permanently on 9 Jan 2016. Could you please explain what would be Permanent Residence Date and Lawful Residence Date in my case. Thank you. -
Aha. Yep I'm aware that Bangladesh is in the list of High Risk countries.

What does "BD" stand for?

shellyk666, do not be upset. As you could already notice grants are given in a random way so if someone who applied after you was assigned CO doesn't mean that there are some problems with your application. As you've already said you will probably get a direct grant sooner or later.

I think you definitely need to contact with DIBP.
-
You lodged your visa application on May 29 and still not assigned with CO? Are you 189 visa applicant?
-
Guys is anybody who lodged visa on May still waiting for grant decision?
-
My congrats. As I can see from your signature you had to wait CO for long time.
-
It means your visa application is processed without assigning CO.

Hi killerbee82, shanshui and all who are in process of migration while being Hep B infected. I'm just interested where you are now and did you manage to receive visa with this illness. At the moment I'm also Hep B carrier with viral load negative and perfect liver condition (liver fibroscan - F0). I've already went through medical check and now extremely worried about the decision of DIBP. I would be grateful if someone share positive or negative experience.
-
My congrats monk Could you share your timeline please?

At the moment DIBP is processing those applications that were applied in Mar-Apr so as we can see it takes 2 or more months for an application to be processed. Hence, those who applied in May-Jun will be processed in late Aug or later. It's pure mathematics and nothing more. As for the priority you can read an 31th Jul update about timelines on DIBP website where it's written that 190th visas are in higher priority that 189th ones.

Right. At the moment higher priority is given to 190th visa and 189th a bit halted. At least those who lodged visa in May and June can relax until September.
