What a fantastic day - just received notification from VF that my visa has been granted AND that I have been given the 100 rather than the 309 which i had applied for.That just one week over the 6 month mark! When i emailed VF back in Feb i was told to expect "at least 9 months" so this is just amazing Plus we fly 2 weeks today to Perth so i don't even need my WHV which i had got in place to tie me over. Good luck to all other October/November applicants.

I have VF as my case officer. She does reply in very short emails but i have found her to be quite to the point and exceptionally prompt in responding. I don't think many of the CO's give much details or further information unfortunately.

Hey everyone - just a bit of a visa update. Submitted my medicals last week and emailed my CO today to check that these had all been received etc. Got an email straight back to confirm that they had and that all current documentation was now submitted.... however also got informed that processing times are hanging at the 9 month mark now Would really love to go over to Oz sooner (now if i could) & can get a WHV but cant find much info on whether its relitively easy, or more specificially what type of jobs you can get on this type of visa - anyone know anything about it? Thanks!

Hi Everyone, I am in the process of going through my Partner Vias application and have just been told no more documentation needed (YEY) but that the grant date is looking more like the 9 months time scale (boo) making it August time rather than the June date that i hoped for. However i am super keen to move over to Perth before August if possible and qualify for a WHV but am concerned as to what jobs i would be able to get on this whilst waiting for August to arrive. I currently work in Marketing in the UK and I aim to do this over in Oz in the end, but get the impression a job in this sector wouldnt be possible whilst on a WHV?? Thoughts? Help? Advice? Anything would be great - THANK YOU!

Hi All, I'm pretty apprehensive about moving to Perth next year due to some of the unknowns about jobs over there and hoped that someone may know the answers:- 1) When applying is it the same as the UK where you normally need to provide 2 references and these are your last two jobs? 2) How on earth do you know what the Salary is for most of the jobs? I have looked on Seek.com.au but a very high proportional of them do not say how much you would earn? Confussed. 3) In the UK i work in Marketing and am looking to do the same when we move to Perth but i am struggling to find many jobs or to really know where is appropriate to look (other than SEEK). Are there any good agencies that anyone knows of? Or does anyone know anything about what the current job market is for Marketing jobs there? Any information to help out would be super apprecaited. Thank you!

Hi everyone, Quick question. I got some of my documents sent back to me from my CO and was wondering what that meant. They sent back my original birth cert & my police check certificate - won't they need to keep these? Or does them sending these back mean that they have logged that i have them and that part is now done? Also how do you know whether you have submitted everything they need? Do they tell you right near the start or do they spring it on you later? Thanks in advance for any help.. and congratulations to those who got their Visa today.

Hi Everyone. Great forum, really helpful! Submitted my visa on the 12th November and have been assigned VF as my CO. Still in a bit of shock over the 8-9 month time wait. I'd spoken to someone at the embassy 2 months ago and was told 6ish months and so booked my wedding in Perth for early September. In the worst case scenario if it doesn't go through to August I'm either going to have to go out early on a tourist visa or plan it all from UK. Not quite how i imagined it. For anyone who has gone out on a Working Holiday Visa whilst waiting for their Spousal visa to come through... how was the job situation for you? Were you able to get a job on the WHV that could be carried through once your Spousal visa was approved? I really don't want to be in Oz for a long period of time and be unemployed.
