  1. Can I ask a justice of the peace to sign the identity form? If yes, when they ask me how do I know the citizen that signed in identity form, what should I say? Thank you.
  2. And also I sent an email to the state government that I've got my 190 visa grant. But didn't receive any reply from them. It seems that they don't really care where you live!!
  3. I have asked my migration agent (MARA registered) if I need to inform the state government for my address change. My agent said I do NOT need to do that. The only thing I need to inform to the DIAC is the change of my passport details, because the visa is linking to my passport.
  4. As discussed in this forum before, breaking the 2 years obligation rule will not affect your eligibility of citizenship
  5. I'm one of their client, maybe it's off topic in here, as they were applying quebec immigration for me before. But anyone use them before? Because now I'm requesting a refund from them..
  6. I got my visa grant on the 4th of Dec! Everything is front loaded, case officer said I don't need to submit the overseas police check as they have my old one when I apply for the TR.
  7. However, you need to pay for the visa label to the immigration department...
  8. Are you on the 190 state sponsor visa? If yes, you should be free to move another state, since it is only a moral obligation to stay at the state for 2 years..
  9. How about for the immigration department? My nominated occupation is on the SOL list when I was studying my degree and when I applied for the TR. But the department remove my occupation from the SOL list at the time my TR is grant. So is this fair? They don't even provide a transitional arrangement for people that have their occupation on the SOL list by the time of applying the visa.
  10. I'm in NSW. I sent an email to the NSW state government when I got my 190 visa grant. But didn't receive any response from them. Anyone in NSW have received survey or email from the NSW government?
  11. I'm not opening this thread to argue with anyone, I'm just asking questions in here. But it's not very nice to hear what you say, that's very rude
  12. imagine coming to another state all by yourself...with no support and no family in here...just because of the job and PR at the beginning. At least I step a foot on the state when they offer me sponsorship. But during this period I suffered a lot from the visa and work pressure. So I don't think I'm doing anything wrong by just pursuing to live in another state that makes my life easier.
  13. I did live in NSW for almost 1 year before I got my 190 visa grant...However I don't have any friends and family in here and I don't like my job in here... The only reason I apply the state sponsor is because my occupation is only on the NSW SS list, and not on the SOL list. So I have no choice but go for the 190 visa route. And the reason that I'm planning to move is because I'm not happy in here, and I was originally from QLD, so I want to move back to there.
  14. as discussed many times in this forum, it is only a moral obligation to stay at the state for 2 years...When I got my PR visa grant onshore, I sent the state government an email notifying them my PR visa is grant, but didn't receive any response from them
  15. I know there had been many discussions on the 190 state sponsor visa in this forum before, that staying at the state that sponsor you is only a moral obligation... Some people suggest to ask the state that sponsor you to release you...before moving to another state. How about if you're afraid that the state would say no after you ask? Would it be better to just move to another state without telling the state government?
  16. Anyone got a visa label on their passport after a PR visa is grant? Just to make sure.... As I know, we need pay for the visa label in Australia. I've applied for the green card with Medicare, maybe the medicare card can be a proof of your PR status already?
  17. How about if I apply for the PR onshore? Does it mean the visa is activated already when I got the visa grant.
  18. My case officer didn't ask for my overseas police check...then my visa is granted already!
  19. I waited for 2 weeks since my CO allocated already. Still no news from the CO. When did you get your CO assigned and do you know the initial of your case officer?
  20. My agent only told me I'm assigned to the Adelaide team. But I don't know which team I'm in... My agent told me it takes the case officer 2 weeks to complete the initial assessment. Is it true? I got my case officer assigned on the 15th Nov.
  21. My agent told me DIAC is busy this time of the year?
  22. IT'S better to use a registered migration agent. Go Matilda is pretty good. check again
  23. My agent said that I can apply for a temporary Medicare card as I have applied for a PR visa Because the letter on my current visa (TR 485) strongly recommend me to obtain private health insurance. And now I'm paying medibank private health insurance every month. If I already applied for Medicare, can I cancel my private health insurance?
  24. Yes I waited for 6 weeks from the day of lodgement to get a case officer assigned, then my agent told me it takes 2 weeks for the case officer to completes the initial assessment. Because I'm from Hong Kong, I would need a letter from the case officer in order to do the police check in my country....
