  1. Hmmm well Office Manager is not on the list any more - back to the drawing board?? Or give up??
  2. The CSOL should be released very soon - there are many of us waiting with bated breath. The list has been reported to be State Sponsored and ENS and 457 lists all rolled up into one. But we are still waiting to see how this will work. But I wold think there is still hope for you. It should be released between now and the end of June - fingers crossed for you
  3. All I know so far is some time in June and it has already been agreed in principle - wish they would hurry up tho x
  4. Thank you for letting us know. I can breathe out now
  5. I am sure the real "test" to be able to get into Australia is being able to go through the process and keep your sanity
  6. My hubby and I are self employed but haven't got to the SS yet. I can't think it would hurt to include them to show that there is available work if needed. Too much information can only be a good thing I would think. Good luck x
  7. It is quite a straightforward process to be honest. I have chosen to do all the modules by writing due to time difference and fitting around work. This is probably the longer way around to be honest but there is no hurry as waiting for the CSOL anyway. It is a series of competence scenarios and you just prove that you have that competence which if you have been working as a manager you should fond quite straightforward. I was also considering taking a certificate in Marketing too by RPL - but will wait and see how it goes. I am also curious to know why N7kkp failed the vetassess assessment. If we can avoid making the same errors that would be great. I have a feeling there may be an influx of Office Managers moving to WA this year
  8. Hi I am also doing the Diploma in Management via Academy3 after reading it as an option on here. I have 2.5 more modules to complete and have done this so far in 3-4 weeks or so (with a week off for jubilee) Then we are just awaiting the new CSOL list to see where to go from here
  9. Have you thought about finishing the A levels by open learning. We were considering our son doing A levels by distance learning when we were thinking about moving to Spain x
  10. Thank you for posting this - it is very useful x
  11. I love period properties in the UK especially Georgian style. But in Australia I seem drawn to the ultra modern homes x
  12. We are in the same boat. Hopefully moving out next July after GCSE's finished with a 10 year old (will be 11) and a 15 year old (will be 16) - both boys. The younger one is positive and upbeat but the older boy really isn't over keen. Although he is resigned to the fact we will most likely be moving he makes it clear he would prefer not to if possible. Drives me potty x
  13. Thank you for your updates - we love posts like this as it helps us to build up a fair picture of how things really are. Best of luck with your new life x
  14. 2 more modules of AQF diploma and price researching. Oooh and looking at houses - that always gets me fired up x
  15. Children change things they enjoy doing all the time. Lots of kids stop dancing or musical instrument lessons etc. I think it is important to firstly find out why - if they are stopping because of pressure from others then it is a different situation from just falling out of love with an activity. I found with my kids that if you just let them do what they want to do (within reason) they will be passionate about something they love to do and that is worth a gazillion lectures to practice. My 2 boys one is 15 and one is 10 - they both went to dancing but stopped about 3 years ago. Now the eldest is the highest grade guitar player for his age that his music teacher has ever taught in 20 something years - do I have to ask him to practice - noope because he absolutely loves it. The youngest is learning computer programming - yes really - and he has just completed a 2nd year degree project in Java - do I have to remind him - nope - it is completely self taught and practiced. These are internally motivated hobbies that show real passion and enjoyment. Had I tried to get the to stay at dancing it would have been an uphill battle all the way. Imagine someone asking you to still do a hobby that you no longer enjoyed - where would the motivation or pleasure come from?? Something else will come along and take it's place
