Hi, I live in India and had spent 13 months in Netherlands. I have now been invited to apply for 190 visa. I was just wondering what is the procedure for getting the Netherlands PCC done. Can anyone please share their experience who has stayed in Netherlands and got it done. I am currently lost and do not know how do I go about getting the PCC done. Hi, I got positive NSW state sponsorship response within 6 days. I had got their acknowledgement that my application was received on 7th Sep and I got email from them on 13th Sep stating that they have approved the state sponsorship. I got invitation to apply for the 190 visa on 14th Sep. I still have not applied for the visa yet, still need to get some documents arranged for my wife. Regards,JBB

Thanks Ropey for those encouraging words. Since the visa invitation is valid for 2 months I was thinking of using the next one month to try to reduce at least 5-6kgs that would bring my BMI to less than 30 and make me fall under Overweight category. BTW I am 37 yrs old and have time untill Nov 10th to apply for the visa. I hope there are others who can share their experiences about the medical tests.

Hi, I have been invited to apply for 190 visa. I have not yet submitted my application. I am concerned about how the medicals are done? My height is 5 feet 11 inches i.e. 183 cms and I currently weigh 99 kgs which makes me fall in the obese category. As I researched on the internet and see that according to my height my ideal weight should be about 83-85 kgs. Also my BP normally has always been in the range of 140/150-90/100. I have never had any medical problems in the past and neither do I have any problems at the moment as well (that is what I feel, unless the medical reports shows otherwise). With the above facts do you guys think that this will impact my medical reports and if there are any chances of getting my visa rejected? I would appreciate anyone who can provide some idea on what and how the doctors interpret things as costly treatment and threat to the AUS public medical system? Regards, JB

What are the documents needed for PCC if I submit in Bangalore Passport Seva Kendra? I stay in a rented place so what proof do I need to provide for my current address? I have been in bangalore only for the past 10+ months. I would appreciate if you could provide information on this. Thanks

I live currently in Bangalore since I work here, but I am actually from Mumbai and my passport has been issued from Mumbai. So can I apply for the PCC at the Bangalore Passport Seva Kendra? Will they be sending it to Mumbai to verify the details and check their records from the local police? Please advice and also how much time do you think this can take?

Thank you for the information. So I think what you are suggesting is that I wait for the CO to first ask me to get the PCC and Medicals done, only then should I start the PCC and Medicals procedure. In any case at the moment I have just applied for NSW state sponsorship, so I will have to wait for the outcome of that and all the rest (like applying for a visa etc) comes later. But I was just trying to understand the procedure and honestly speaking getting PCC done for Netherlands does look like a daunting task more-so as most of the information presented is in Dutch which I do not understand. Also I did not see any link where I could download the application form. Regards, JB

Hello, I have applied for NSW state sponsorship and awaiting their result. However I wanted some information about the PCC requirement in order to complete the visa application process for visa subclass 190. As per this link http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/character-requirements/character-penal.pdf anyone who has stayed for more than 1 year in any country in the last 10 years needs to get PCC done from that country. So I had spent 13 months in Netherlands and returned back to India only in Sep 2003, so I guess I will need to get the PCC done from India which is the country from where I come from and also from The Netherlands since I had spent more than 1 year there in the last 10 years. Can anyone provide me with information on how to get the Netherlands PCC done from India? Thanks in advance. JB
