  1. Hi all we are selling our Nissan Xtrail 4x4 ST model 2007 low mileage 166,000 kms Gold Petrol Manual 5 Speed Towbar Reverse Camera Very Good Condition $9500 selling as as husband needed a ute for work.
  2. I am in WA and did a lot of relief work before recently getting a contract. I was only Level 2 in UK . Relief work pays $150 a day in mainstream $200 a day in ED Support Centres. I am paid $24 per hour as a Special Needs EA in a mainstream school. I just registered with lots of schools in my area all within about 20-30 mins drive and picked up plenty of relief work. If you register on the government website for the state you are going to they will email the job vacancies. Hope that helps Lou
  3. Thats because they make it so bloody difficuly for Uk sparks to get the A grade licence!! So the privileged few probably can pick and choose! Hubby is having a nightmare completing the assignments thankfully though he is working .
  4. Hi Paul We were in your position 5 months ago. Dont want to put you on a downer bit it is very hard to get anyone to take you on as a TA . My OH was very lucky to pick up job fitting solar panels, because I was checking gumtree practically every hour!! you will probably have notice most jobs say A grade wanted , you just need to keep plugging away and maybe call to a few places. I dont know where you in Perth but there is a company in Bibra Lake called Nilsens who take on TA so I have been told. My Oh has dont the 2 week training so is now onto the assigments and will have to do another 4 day comms course before he can sit the capstone to get his A Grade..... hope you find something soon Lou
  5. Hi guys! We are SOR but may join you at the meet up if we can we have been here 5 months and have 2 boys 9 & almost 5 . Hillarys is about 35-40 mins from us and its great there
  6. Wish we had known sooner husband has just done the 2 week course which looks about $600 cheaper at CET!! Would he be able to do the capstone through CET or go back to Thornnlie? Jandakot is closer to us .
  7. I have been volunteering in a few schools in WA and they use a system called Minilit/Multilit which is very similar to Phonics
  8. We are the same!! If you find any let me know
  9. Very negative post as usual same as on PerthPoms. We have been here a short amount of time but my children would go to the beach or park everyday and be very happy to do that all year...oldest was bodyboarding on Sunday. If you go to any new housing estates all over the UK they are all the same 'character of a cardboard box' if you want something different then you pay big bucks. Yourself being in the mining industry which is on the downturn according to you can maybe afford to buy somewhere more exclusive! A weekend in London before we left cost us £500 to see said museums etc.....kids more interested in Chelsea FC tour! One week in Cyprus for a family of four in June (not school holidays) £2400 !!! not what I would call popping over to Europe for peanuts. We will stick to our free beaches parks & festivals free entertainment in shopping centres and good cheap public transport!
  10. Hi Guys A question for those of you doing or have done the Gap Training. My OH was booked in for July but managed to get some work so has postponed it until Sept. When he gets the log book will it be able to be backdated to the work he has already done? Thanks Lou

  14. will do my best , as I say those areas have been recommended by my aunt who has lived in Cockburn for 20 years and she is also a Principal of a school (not in that area though) Lou
  15. Hi will be making the move in 7 weeks to that area so will let you know! We have family in Yangebup about 10 mins from those areas but i like the schools in Aubin & Atwell . Coogee beach & Woodmans point are both lovely beaches that we used in 2011 when we visited and they were both lovely around 5-10 mins drive from my aunts house in Yangebup. There are loads of parks everywhere, cant help with the trainline but sure someone will. Also try Perth Poms the sister site you will get some more info there. Good Luck! Lou
  16. Glad you like it Nic as I said my family have been there 20 years so can't be that bad ! We will be staying with them for a bit when we first arrive , can't wait to get back on Coogee beach away from the cold and rain 10 weeks and counting
  17. We have family in Yangebup who have lived there 20 years, they have told us to look at other areas close to them such as Atwell Success Aubin Grove, we do have children so schools are a factor for us . They have also said to stay away from South Lake and Hamilton Hill , if that helps at all. 2 lovely beaches close by Woodmans point and Coogee and think it took us about 15-20 mins to get to Fremantle when we stayed with them . Yangebup seemed fine to us when we were ther but think my aunt is guiding us to areas with better schools. lou
