Hi guys has any one shipped there stuff from uk just by using a freight company.? we did and it did save us a lot off money every thing gone ok until I got a phone call from the shipping company in Perth to say that your stuff will arrive soon but there is a invoice to pay,whith I was told would be a couple of hundred dollars or so to get through customs,well when I got the bill it was $1450 I was shocked has any one any info on these port charges or no any one that deals with these as I feel we are being ripped off need help A.S.A.P I can't believe you have to pay this much to clear 6 pallets off personall effects Please if any one can help much appreciated thanks Rob.....

Hi to any one that can HELP.we are moving to Perth on 14th June,and are shipping our stuff out on 2 pallets,going through a freight company.we are only taking personal items No furniture. I need help on some things.Dose any one no if you can pack some items in Heavy duty plastic boxes ?Most off our stuff is in cardboard boxes we have used all the same boxes from a storage place so it looks uniformed for customs.All so i have some painting and decorating and tiling tools to take has any one had problems at customs with taking used tools i have cleaned them as best as i can. I keep on getting told different things on what paper work to show when your shipment arrives? and is it worth getting a Broker to get it through customs Please if any one has advice on these it will be much appreciated. I know the infantry has to match up with all the boxes and items but how good dose this have to be for the customs i have kept all the same stuff in each box the best i could you hear off some horror stories when shipment arrives so if any one can help Great. would any one advice on getting some one to collect at other end or collect it your self? Hi Just to let you know im sending over a full pallet of my personal belongings for less than £400 if you dont mind waiting i would go with a freight company im useing L/K Freight based in kent you could send over your bikes quit cheap hope this helps

Hi i have a wife and two children 4 & 7 we are moving to Perth on June 14 my parents are out there already which helps,i am close to all the family but the day we told them we had booked our flights they changed,even though they new we had our visas 2years we was lucky enough to be on Wanted Down Under which some family were on and yet we get treated as if we have been charged for murder,its so upsetting that family cant wish you good luck or just say something nice but no as soon as Oz is mentioned the face drops and sarcastic comments are made, we have been told once your gone your gone, it hurts very much but when i look at my kids and see what a great life they can have in Oz and the way life is there i know we are doing the right thing,yes it might not work out but i no for shaw if we came back they would be doing the same thing as the day we left.Our plan is give it 4years so you can apply for citizen ship that give you best of both worlds then and 4 years you would know if you done the right thing.Remember one Life Live it and dont have regrets its only ourselfs that can make us happy i think a lot of the family attitudes towards people moveing to Oz is jeouslsy we cant change the way they feel we just have to prove them wrong that we made the wright choice.i wish you the best and you do whats best for you and you family.

Hi Guys we are moving to perth in june will be staying with parents in Caningvale which is not to far from Freo, we are family of 4, son is 8 and daughter will b 5 when out there,im in 40s wife late 30s well she wishes it was 20s but so do we all.any way how have you all settled in? is it really as good living there than holiday,we cant waite to get there and start our new life and we want to meet people who are in the same boat. Hi Guys we just booked our tickets in january they are return as you no its just as cheap to get return than single.yes you do have to put a return date ours is 4wks later but all you have to do is pay a fee to change the date,£60-70 per ticket.we leave june 14th for perth so once we pay the fee we can choose a date with in that year to fly back. but remeber to save money for the return flights as its cheaper to get from uk than oz!! and no one can book flights for you. hope this helps ,all the best

Hi Lesley my wife Mel and I feel the same as you guys it's not our parents believe it or not my mum and stepdad are in Perth already my wife's mum and dad live in Spain and are right behind us it's my aunti and uncle that we r close to which have gone funny towards us it's like we r doing something so wrong yet they haven't been to oz so how can they judge it they even done the wanted down under show we was on and when we told them we have booked our flights in jan well that was it and yes it dose hurt and it's hard for us and any one that immigrates but one life we have and we don't want no regrets but it doesn't make it any easyer it dose make u feel your doing some thing wrong.
