1. Congratulations!! Where did you send yours Tracey?
2. Congratulations!!!! Wonderful news on all fronts :jiggy:
3.

I sincerely hope so, once APHRA - nursing registration is sorted.

4.

Hi, fingers crossed on the visa then! 6th June not far away now!! Just mail getting held up that's all. It will be sorted. I have little patience.......

5.

How are you? I'm in your neck of the woods next weekend to speak to some Oz guys. Any word on your visa yet?

6. Good Luck! I love the sounds of your plans! I have to wait on APHRA and then go job /sponsorship hunting. Hope to know more soon. 2 weeks and counting now since APHRA in Darwin took the money.............
7. NMC statement of good standing or similar wording, costs £34 and is sent directly to APHRA. Verification of her qualifications, either from her old school of nursing or Uni, or both. Depends on her qualifications. Usually sent direct from Uni. NMC had to verify my RSCN and RGN qualifications and they did this by sending the EU directive to APHRA. Statement of Service, written by her boss (immediate boss and should be a nurse) stating what she has worked for the last 5 years (full-time/part-time) and her position/positions and what they entailed. This should be signed by her boss and include the bosses qualifications too. CV written, not in the usual Australian style, but in a specific APHRA format which is on their website, and signed as true on the date signed. photographic ID including a passport with the visa to Oz, other id as stated on APHRA application form (bank statement/car insurance docs etc) Copies of the O and A level certs/letter from secondary school saying attending school and taught in english or a Statutory declaration stating you were........... all instead of IELTS CPD certificates to back up any mandatory training or professional development. I sent just over one years CPD as an illustration. Send as many as you like, but I wasn't sending 25 years evidence to them. All of the documentation needs to be certified by a Justice of the Peace or Notary EXACTLY as APHRA asks. Signature of Applicant witnessed, photograph certified as a true likeness and every page annotated and the statement on the last page of each document. I can see this all in my sleep every night........it haunts me. :twitcy:
8. IELTS is needed for the ANMAC skills assessment + or - Visa (GSM). NOT for APHRA, if you meet the english language requirements (educated 5 years in UK/Republic of Ireland etc). What visa will you be going Hoff to Oz with?
9. Louise where do you live? In Scotland and N Ireland Justices of the Peace provide the service free of charge and are acceptable to APHRA. There is a notary for Nurses in London who does this for approximately £60 if I remember correctly. Do price around as although you can go back it seems expensive to me, but if you are happy to pay it then it doesn't matter what I think  You can send your application to any office. Some take less time than others. When are you going to Perth?
10. Absolutely  you have worked more than the minimum. Good luck.
11. It actually says: So out of 5 years you are meant to have worked a total of 38 hours per week for 12-14 weeks. you will be fine.
12. Did you do IELTS for ANMAC? If you did this meets your english language requirements. I don't know if you also need to then prove the secondary education. You can ask them by email. You will also need an APHRA CV. Check their website for the correct format as it is different to other CVS.
13. Send in your APHRA application form and enclose a note stating they are coming from ANMAC? That is what I would do. You will need to put in any docs ANMAC did not ask for.
14. Which APHRA office Pollygirl? Good luck
15. There are lots of threads on here but it is more helpful initially if you read the registration standards/documents on the APHRA website about Certification of Documents; Recency of Practice and english language requirements. Then read the cv format they want and how they want the statement of service. They want particular information in particular formats and any deviation from these causes headaches for the applicant as well as delay! Sara8 and Thumper posted good advice on the process so look for their threads too. Good Luck both of you.
16. I met with the JP this morning, she was lovely! An Australian lady who married someone here; whose daughter I nursed with and who has known me/parents most of my life. We had a yummy coffee and a chat while she certified my documents. How nice was that!! All posted now to APHRA in Darwin and tracking details at the ready. I'm so excited now. I really hope I have done this right. The Uni will send their stuff off shortly and NMC has already sent the Transcript and Verification in March  I can't stop smiling!!!
17. I have left it blank on mine as I am not using an agent either.
18. That makes sense Sara! Just wondered if I'd missed something! :embarrassed:
19. I cannot find an APHRA address outside of Australia?? Where did you find one Kayleigh?
20. CPD = Continuing Professional Development = PREP. APHRA has standards posted on their website which state what these standards are. You will have worked with NMC standards for these while registered here. You are just being asked to evidence this in your application. Study days/training/mandatory days/reflective journals etc. You can send it to any capital city in Australia. It doesn't matter where you are going to, perhaps unless you are out there? Good luck!!
21. Can any of the nurses who have had sponsorship visas tell me if they needed any of the certified documents for APHRA also certified for DIAC for the visa, or could we scan those in and attach to an online application. I don't want to go through the certification process twice unless I have to. ie Are the certified documents only needed for APHRA or do we also need a copy for DIAC if we use an online visa application?
