If you need the extra points then yes, if you have enough with just the 10 then no. I've known folk who've sat it 5 n 6 times as they needed the points!

@ksara yep my stuff was fine. I vac packed all my material stuff, this included feather pillows, duvets, cushions, towels, clothes. I brought lots of curtains too but these went into a cloth bag I had and again were fine. I think there are some reports on here where some folk had mildew but mine was fine.

@jac2011 for sure that's how I sent my son over, cheaper than air fare!!! Bliddy clumsy fingers!!

They didn't give me any boxes, just the tape! I actually already had heaps of plastic boxes so used these along with ones I scavenged from work and elsewhere. Another tip is buy an adaptor plug for each electrical item, it's a pain swapping them round. You can get them here but more expensive. Good luck!

No just wrapped in towels or clothes and tried to have it in centre of case, was fine after each journey!

We've took one both ways, both times in checked in luggage purely for weight but I guess would be fine I hand luggage if within your allowance.

Mark off the size of the cube on your floor including height and start filling! Try and use boxes the same size to make it easier to stack. I filled the insides of drawers, washing machine, tumbler and fridge with things too. I bought loads of vacuum pack bags for clothes, duvets, bedding etc. as you pack each box or bag number it with stickers and list what's inside, this can be easily transcribed on the day to the move cubes paperwork. I also sealed all my boxes, just industrial tape just to make sure the kids didn't come loose and also so I would know if they had been tampered with. Collect bubble wrap! Some people inserted silica gel sachets, I didn't as I forgot to get some but all of my stuff was fine anyhow, no mildew. Bikes were scrubbed to death. If you have any space fill it with toiletries, washing liquid And softener. Obviously you can get it here but for likes of lenor it's expensive.

To be honest I rarely need to go in but I had a week where I wanted to open a bank account with my son, I had a cheque to pay in and I wanted to apply for a Visa card and I wanted to speak to a financial advisor. They are open something like 9-430 and so my working week I couldn't get there, then when I finished early once to get there the queue was out the door so got my knickers in a twist and changed banks! I also wanted a debit card with the mastercard sign on as it ad voids paying booking fees with Tiger air! I've still kept my NAB account too. However Bankwest are open Sat and a Sun where I live so handy to know.

Last time I went home I ended up bringing back a roll of wallpaper and a duvet cover for 2 folk, both heavy so used up some of my allowance, won't be doing that again, folk can be cheeky when they're asking you to bring stuff over!
