  1. My father was granted a visa under subclass 600 (Tourist stream). This was applied offshore. This visa expires in September 2021. Conditions on this Visa include: 8503 - No Further Stay 8558 - Max 12 months stay in 18 months He arrived in Australia in February 2020. So technically he should be leaving Australia by January end. I am a bit worried about him traveling during the COVID outbreak and was wondering if there is a way I can extend his stay. If yes, then what is the process? Do I first need to apply for a waiver of condition 8503 and then apply for a new visa? Any guidance in this regard will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Kubby
  2. Thanks Phil. Her license is also valid for 3 months.
  3. Oops... sorry mate. And thanks for moving it!
  4. Hi, My wife recently got her 309 partner provisional visa. I was just listing all the things she needs to get done after landing. Here is the list I could think of: - Joint Tenancy Agreement - Joint bank Account - Medicare - Driving License - Private health insurance (optional) - TFN Please let me know if I have missed anything. Thanks in advance. KS
  5. It's never too late ! My Bachelors degree was not accessed by ACS but I still claimed 15 points for that. As stated in this thread.. my degree was in section 1 of CEP. You can also do the same and claim 15 points for your degree without any VETASSESS assessment. Best of luck !
  6. Please refer to the following 2 threads that I started: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/176643-eoi-help-claiming-education-points.html http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/177121-how-find-if-university-course-relevant-per-country-education-profiles-aei-noosa.html and you will get an Idea. You degree does not have to be with computers Cheers
  7. I hold a Bachelors in Business and I got ACS to certify me under 263111. for me it was the work exp. got me that ! good luck!
  8. Here are the complete details: http://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/police-checks/national-police-checks.aspx#process cheers
  9. As Blossom said... an agent with a meeting room does not make him/her good. I once approached this MARA reg agent at Wentworthville and she almost ruined my case... Thank god I made some intelligent choices at that time!
  10. No sure if it is mentioned anywhere or not but just FYI... I did mine before the case officer was even assigned... you can ask the medical place to send the results directly to the DIAC... they will ask for your DIAC Transaction reference No. (TRN) to which they can refer the results ! Cheers
  11. Havent heard good things about these guys on PIO. For example refer to the following thread http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/148212-global-migrate.html do some quick search and you will find more about them. I wont recommend them though. Cheers
  12. I had 70 points and got an Invite in 3 days. I have seen similar time frame for people who apply with even 60 points. Good luck, James !
  13. Does that mean that vetassess is not mandatory for any qualifications? Yes, if your Degree is relevant as per CEP. Even trades with NVQ3?? After quick googling I came to know NVQ refers to "National Vocational Qualification".. And I really don't have any idea in this regard ! Cheers[h=3][/h]
  14. Thanks Kip. Alright.. here is the thing... as I mentioned above you don't need your degree to be certified by any Oz Authority to claim your points. I was successfully able to claim 15 points for my Business degree.. In my case, I did a Bachelors of Business which was a 3 years course with 6 semester. This was NOT an Australian Degree. Now I am not sure what was the exact length of your 2 semesters... I am also not sure what implication having an Oz degree in your case might have as you might be able to claim extra 5 points under "Australian study requirements". All I had to do was to find if my Degree was Relevant as per CEP (Country Education Profiles)... Here is another thread which I started to get more information in my case: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/177121-how-find-if-university-course-relevant-per-country-education-profiles-aei-noosa.html I would suggest you go through it. Bottom line (in cases like mine): If your degree is relevant as per CEP then you don't need to get your degree certified. Please let me know if you need any additional information. BTW: I really like people (like you) who make a genuine effort to get the information they want and not just start another thread. Please keep me posted on your progress. Cheers
  15. Yes Indian consulate does that.. they stamp your passport saying that. @Rose: It should not be an issue. But would you be required to do a police check separately for Aus? That's my question?
  16. I will assume that ACS would have assessed your Work Exp. successfully based on your Statutory Declaration... If that's the case then you don't need the experience letter (in my opinion)... DIAC should not have any issues in considering your ACS results for your work exp.... I have a friend who used the Statutory Declaration.. got it successfully assessed by ACS.. and used the ACS results for DIAC application... you will need to add the same statutory declaration to your DIAC application though. Let's see what other on PIO have to say. BTW, did you read anywhere where it says that you need Experience letters as well? Cheers
  17. BTW what Oz Authority you are getting your Experience certified? ACS or VETASSESS or someone else?
  18. I just edited my last comment.. please refer to that... No address is required
  19. It does not matter.. don't worry ... you can ask your manager to address it to the case officer.. I did the same This is what I wrote: "To: The Assessment officer Australian Computer Society" No address is required. cheers
  20. From ACS website: http://acs.org.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0019/7570/Skilled-Employment-Reference-Example.pdf Cheers
  21. Hey Marko.... I was on a 457 for 4 years and then got my own 189 visa.... As Rupert stated, you definitely need to get your skills accessed... I dont know what do you mean when you say " I have completed a three year degree and when looking at the website for assessing it they state that to qualify a 4 year degree must have been completed".... I have a bachelor's in Business which was a 3 year course with 6 semesters.... and I was able to claim 15 points for it. Also my bachelors was not even assessed by any Australian authority like ACS or VETASSESS... All I did was, I checked if my Bachelors is relevant as per "Country Education Profiles -AEI - NOOSA". Google it and you will get any idea what I am talking about.
