Joachim posted a topic in Visa ChatHi Is it true that you need to have a degree before you can get your skills assessed? I don't have a degree but I have passed all my ACCA exams, obtained my qualification and membership?? I've only just heard this and feel physically sick Can anyone please help me
Hi I have a question with regard to getting my skills assessed and I would be very grateful with any help; I am about to sit the IELTS test before applying to get my skills assessed through CPA Australia (I'm an Accountant) but I'm wondering do I also need to get my employment assessed or what are the advantages and disadvantages of this? Do I earn more points if my employment is assessed? Its pretty costly so I don't want to complete if I don't have to..... If I don't get my employment assessed do I need to provide further evidence of employment on my visa application? Apologies but I'm confused with this part....
Hi! I would be really grateful if someone could tell me whether or not I need to get my skills assessed to apply for a 189 visa if I am currently working in the same occupation on a 457 visa? I've been in Australia for 9 months so far but don't think the employer sponsored option after the two years is going to happen and therefore want to get the ball rolling. Thanks for any help given.
How does everyone handle their current employer finding out they are looking into migrating to Oz. We've heard that once you get your skills assessed done they will also want a current reference from your current employer, the question is do you let your employer know before hand what you are planning? I think this would be an uncomfortable situation. Do you agree?
