  1. Hi All My husband worked in Business Recovery in the UK forover 17 years and when he left the UK he was a Senoir Manager in a reputable London firm but is finding it impossible to get an insolvency manager job here and has only had one interview where they said they liked him but he didn't have Australian experience. He is registered with a number of agencies but the market is slow for insolvency jobs and he doesn't have the typical qualifications of an Australian insolvency manager (he does not have a finance degree and isn't a chartered accountant) We have moved to Melbourne as I have family here, but we also have family in Perth and would love even a temporary opportunity to get insolvency work and some Australian experience and start moving forward with our lives in Australia. Thanks Jackster74
  2. Thanks Snifter for the links, defintely wouldn't do it ourselves. I had read somewhere that it would cost around $500, and then read somewhere else that it was as little as $65 an anchorage point
  3. Thinking about taking Audi A6, I think the only modification it will require to meet the Australian Standards is the installing of car seat anchor points and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea about how much this costs. Thanks
  4. Visa Subclass 100 granted today. Great week so far.We accepted an offer on house on Tuesday, now the visa has come through. Fingers crossed sale goes smoothly and we are in Melbourne early in the new year:spinny: Best of luck to all those waiting. Time seems to drag, and the processing times seem to vary greatly from CO to CO, which can be frustrating when you are waiting, but eventually it comes through. PS has been straight down the line during the process and helpful with queries.
  5. Thanks. Hope you got an estiamted date too. I think even when you know there should be no problems until you have your visa, you can't help but worry. Good luck:smile:
  6. Hi My husband also has PS as his CO. He applied the first week in May. He emailed PS to ask for an update as to when he visa would be granted last Thursday and got a response on Tuesday saying he aims to finalise his application at the end of the month, so that will be nearly 5months. Would have liked the email to say the visa will be granted at the end of the month, but I am sure it will, we have been together over ten years and have two kids. We have put the house on the market this week and are hoping it will be sold and we will be ready to go before christmas.
  7. Congratulations to all who got there visas last week, and all the best with the big move.
  8. Congrats..all the best. Good to see it was around the 4 month mark:biggrin:
  9. Hi I have become a little addicted to this site and looking at visa processing times, and thought I would add our details. My husband and I have been together since 2000, and have two children who both hold dual nationality. I am Aussie and he is English. We sent his spouse application on the 2 May 2011 to AH, we sent his police check but not the medical. On 11 May we got an email from our CO, PS, asking for my husband to have his medical & to provide more info for 2009/2010 as he may be eligible for a permanent visa. The visa processing time was estimated to be 5 to 6 months I sent the additional info on 11 May On 08/06 my husband had his medical On 11/06 we emailed our CO, to check the additional info had been recieved and to say he had done his medical. On 16/06 the CO emailed to acknowledge receipt of info and medical and advsied that no further info was required at this stage, and that they would contact us if further info was required or when the visa was finalised.
