  1. That made me chuckle! [emoji2] Did you just sit down and ask the staff if they could do you a lovely English breakfast? And they didn't enquire if you were looking to order some food also? Most cafes actually do sell a full fried breakfast (with their own moniker for it). In my wife's cafe it's currently called a "Full Monty". It's previous name was just "Big breakfast" but that doesn't sound as glamorous and people will pay more for some lyrically descriptive menu items! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. At the medical i was given a referral to provide further info within 28 days. My medical team provided the info requested. Visa granted shortly after.

Crohns and UC; There's a lot of it about in growing numbers according to my Gastro specialist. Infliximab infusions have made a massive change to my quality of life. [emoji106]?
  5. Nice to know that I could "live more" if I moved to a suburb rated higher than Watsonia at 132. [emoji12]
  6. Our council has four ceremonies per year. Not sure if it's a big event or limited to small numbers. Could be waiting a while! [emoji106]?
  7. Update Family of 5 - 4 approval letters were received 8/10/15 The 5th approval letter arrived today, 2/11/15. Just awaiting ceremony date now. Australia Day perhaps?
  8. It makes no difference how you apply because there is plenty of "waiting time" in the whole process. Assuming your application is good (whichever version you choose) and you pass the interview and test, you are then in the hands of your local council for a ceremony date. And that will depend on how efficient they are and how many new citizens need a ceremony and the availability of spaces at said ceremonies.

  13. The status often doesn't change until the visa is granted. Application received, means exactly that.

  15. Surprised that the school didn't ask you for your ambulance Vic membership number when you enrolled your child in school. It's been a requirement on the application form for every school that our kids have been enrolled at.
  16. I went the 457 temporary visa route first because that was what was on offer and I didn't really know any better. It was also the quickest option to get a visa so there was no long delay for either me or my employer with waiting for a visa grant to happen. My employer later sponsored me through the transition stream for ENS186 which was fairly straightforward too with no need for skills assessment since I had been in the job for 4 years at the time. If you can meet the criteria for the direct entry stream (skills assessment required) then go for it.

  18. Stop! It's ok People! I've got this!!!! http://bit.ly/1bFD9DX :-)
  19. No. But ultimately it will depend on whatever negotiations you have made with your employer for them to sponsor you. If this has not been discussed at all then it's not an issue.
  20. I never had any notification of any knd until the final "application successful" message. (or whatever the terminology was; can't really remember).
  21. Best person to ask us your MA. Get you MA to explain the misunderstanding. Nobody here will be able to tell you about any misunderstanding.
