Hi all, I am on a 457 visa and have been offered another job which I am keen to accept. My only concern is that what it comes to the transfer my existing employer finds out. Obviously I wouldn't want to tell them I am leaving until everything else is in place. Does any know whether the transfer process requires your existing employer to get involved at all or at the very least do they get informed by immigration? Thanks chris

Hi all, We have just relocated to Sydney and are in the process of renting our first property and need to buy furniture and various household items. Where is the best place to go for these things? i.e. is there an equivalent of DFS etc. Thanks, Chris and Sarah

Hi there, We have recently emigrated to Sydney and looking for our first rental property. Our current short list comprises of: - - Chatswood (where I will be working); - Asquith; - St Ives; and - Frenchs Forest Do any of you have any experiences of living in these areas?
