  1. I am sure you have been allocated a case officer but just haven't heard. As you are onshore yours will be quicker - direct grant I say - fingers crossed for you.
  2. Any more news from anyone??? I am only on day 45 now it is absolutely dragging looks like most people around the 20th August submission have case officers now so fingers crossed for grants to start coming through. Wish it was this day next week. I have definitely learned the last few weeks how inpatient I am.
  3. Wow joeybee I applied 31/8 and feel I am being too optimistic trying to get there end of January. No case officer yet. Fingers crossed hope it works out for you. I have seen a few people get grants within two months but you will have to have everything uploaded
  4. Wow Dari congrats and happy anniversary what a day to remember. Congrats to case officer allocation people also
  5. Haha thanks now if I could only track down a case officer I would be happy
  6. Looking through some of the forums last hour (you would think I have no work to do) it appears that the last OFFSHORE pplicant for the 189 to get a case officer submitted on the 11th August and got case officer on the 9/10. Can't find anyone who submitted after that having a case officer yet? Is there? So we def have another week or even another 2 week wait for me
  7. Oh no that's terrible! To see that email and then for it to be a survey finger crossed for next week. Maybe you will get the direct grants
  8. Congrats soulbrother first when I read it I thought you applied on 30/9 and had visa already but I see from your previous posts you lodged on 12/7 and got case officer on the 19/9 . Well done to you still fast Congrats
  9. It is system error I am afraid another forum all having same issue last 2 hours
  10. yipeeeee that's great news -congrats
  11. Things are just going painfully slow it seems and I am a few weeks behind you - lodged on 31st. Looking at some other threads and forums some of the 190 applicants in August don't even have case officers yet and they are allocated within 5 weeks!!! So we still a few weeks behind them can't wait till we start seeing case officers. I was feeling hopeful maybe next week but think I will hope to hear by end of October at this rate
  12. Another 2 weeks for me - lodged on 31/8 even though I knew it was going to take that long I still logged on everyday last month hoping to have a case officer... Mad!
  13. Meant to say I am also a social worker, lodged 189 on 31/8. Still awaiting case officer hope to have one by end of October. We are hoping to move as soon as visa through to Melbourne.
  14. Hi Jen if you submit eoi now while you qualify you will then have to wait to be invited and then have 60 days to lodge once invited. You never know what changes could be coming , if I was you would get eoi in now. We all new the July increase in price was coming but then they put another increase in sept that was a bit of a shock. Who knows with new government what could happen. I wouldn't take the chance. Plus when you lodge you don't have to do Medicals until you get case officer about two months after.
  15. Fingers crossed for you guys next week
  16. Getting excited someone on another forum who submitted 189 offshore on 11th August, got CO 27th September and grant today moving up in the August grants I didn't submit till the 31st so still a bit if a wait , but getting close for all you other guys. Plus my Medicals for whole family cleared today yipeee
  17. Hi Edzi, you click on organise medical examination link and answer questions. You then print this form. You choose a medical clinic from the panel doctors list and contact them for appointment. http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/panel-doctors/ They will ask for your HAP Id which will be at top of document you print off. You bring this document and your passport to appointment.
  18. Telling my parents tonight about our plans. Am so worried they are going to be absolutely traumatised!!! They have no idea and will mis their 3 grandchildren so much anyone any tips to make it go smoothly? Not sure if I should just tell them on my own or bring hubby along.
  19. So happy for you and your little boy on the start of your exciting new life well done
  20. On form 80 you fill in dates you worked there, name and address of employer. This is enough information for them to ring employer to verify.
  21. you should probably take a look at 189 visa lodged thread. A lot of talk there I am afraid about delays with that team
  22. Yes address is just for past 10 years but employment is from your first ever employment. Give details of all employment
  23. It is my understanding form 80 must be filled in even if not claiming employment points. Also that it needs to be completed right back to your very first job so after leaving school. Periods of unemployment shouldn't effect it. You don't need documents to prove anything unless asked for them but they can ring previous employers to verify what dates you have given. Goid luck.
  24. Mines fairly ok but my poor husband is 46 and spent 9 years in his 20,s travelling around America, Thailand, australia and pretty much worked in random different jobs every few months. God help him trying to pull all that together !!!
