So excited - flights booked, we arrive in Melbourne from Ireland on the 14th January. Myself, husband, 2 daughters age 7 and 4 and son age 1. We are moving into sandringham to 3 bedroomed house our friends are subletting to us until April. Just want to get over the flight and get there This website is fantastic for lots of info. Hiya I also got direct grant last week on the 25th and applied on 31 st August.i say you def have case officers by now just waiting on the grants. Fingers crosse for you.

Oh my god guys just got my visa 189 a few minutes ago Team 4 adelaide. Can't believe it half eleven here on a Friday night so wasnt expecting it. It's Saturday morning in adelaide so they are doing overtime!!! so excited direct grant on day 55 thank go couldn't have done much more waiting. Hope everyone gets grant soon

Oh my god oh my god just sitting here in ireland Friday night 11.30 p.m my phone buzzed and i looke and a mail from team 4 adelaide .........with a visa grant .... cant believe it Saturday morning in adelaide 9 a.m someone doing overtime... unbelievable thought i had at least another week to go good luck to you all

I lodged on the 31st and still nothing. I find myself waking at night hourly and checking the email on my phone just incase. It still hasn't moved further than 23rd for an offshore 189. Hopefully we all get case officers by the end of the week and direct grants. I am finishing up in work next week as we hoping to fly out January. It is so weird having goodbye and leaving parties when I haven't even got visa yet. I have taken parental leave for nov and dec in the hope visa comes and I will then hand in my notice. But if visa doesn't come god I will have to go back to work January instead of oz, now that will be depressing!!!

I applied on 31/8 a few days after ye. Just looking at direct grants this week 2 of them were on day 59 and one on day 62 - they are the quickest grants. So we still have a few days maybe end of the week beginning of next week. Today you are on day 54:)

Congrats Stefe - wow you deserve it after the long wait! Hope the rest if June applicants get grant quick. navingautum but July and some August applicants have already been given grants so don't think it works like that. Think it depends on what case officer you get and how quick they can work , also what additional info they may need.

Good question- no idea? I had seen somewhere on a thread grants only issued on Mondays but that def not the case as people even got grants today on another forum. Will be interested to see if anyone knows. Isn't it such a shame that when you get a case officer allocated the in progress message on evisa doesn't change to allocated or something - bet would cut down massively in the phone calls they get.
