  1. hi there, i applied for my 309/100 at london office back on the 31st of october 2013 and after 8 months and 1 week got an e-mail with a grant letter attached today:) straight to 100 subclass. bottle of champagne is chilling in the fridge and me and my partner shall be celebrating tonight:) we are so glad the wait is over. we did the whole application ourselves and are so proud of it. we'll be travelling to OZ mid november. if anyone needs any advise we are more than happy to help. thanks to PIO for all the help.good luck to all those who are still waiting. tom.:ssign19:
  2. hi! thanks for your reply. yes, i'm hoping to hear something back from them in about months time. be good to have a deadline of some sort to get things going. good luck to both of us tom
  3. hi there, me and my partner launched our application on the 30th of october 2013. within a month we got contacted by our case officer who requested additional information from us that was to be sent within 28 days. those additional documents were sent over straight away and we have been told that apart from my medicals and police checks no extra information will be required. i sent my police checks and medicals on the 10th of february 2014. we are aware that the processing times are up to 9 months for that type of visa but are curious if there are other people applying for 309/100 who launched their applications in autumn 2013? we would be interesting how your processing is going. has maybe anyone got their visa approved yet? any information will be appreciated. we are also happy to share our experience and advise with others. hope it is not long wait left since we are planning to go to oz in october 2014. good luck everyone. tom
  4. hi there, my girlfriend and i applied from the uk for the 309/100 on the 29th october 2013. so far , money came out a couple days after application got delivered to the australian high commision in london but we are still waiting for any form of contact from them. i'm from poland , living in the uk and my girlfriend is australian. we have been together for 8,5 years and been planning our move to oz for ages now. prepared our application on our own , sent it without medical and police checks. will keep updating the progress of our application. all the best and good luck. tom
  5. cheers debs i thought of doing it at court too. seems to be the cheapest option i heard of so far. may pop in to magistrates in my city and ask around. tom
  6. thank you for your reply. i shopped around and the fee sounds about right. tom
  7. hi there, me and my girlfriend are in process of preparing our partner visa application and i have a question regrading certification of documents that we need to send off with the rest of the visa stuff. according to what i found on aus embassy in the uk website, a document can be certified in the uk by a solicitor , notary public a justice of peace etc. basically, i want to find out the cheapest way of doing it. contacted a few notaries and they all seem to charge big bucks for their services. i need to provide translated copies of certain documents also as they are in polish. do they need to be certified too or the actual translation by a registered translator would do? do you think that solicitors stamp on a document is enough as a certification ? any other suggestions? how much did you fork out for that service? thank you for any help. tom
