  1. Tried that. No. Has to be a date equal or less than today...
  2. My conundrum is that (as in original post) - No. Im not leaving - Online says to include most recent employer but leave end date blank - Online form wont let you leave it blank.
  3. Thanks, although I believe that link is an old one? - it goes on to mention 856 visas (now not available) further down the page. I am sure that when I was going through my application last night, it sent me off to a page for eHealth? Can anyone confirm that for a 186 visa, what the process is for letting them know about your health checks? How will IMMI know about my health results?
  4. Nope. no answer yet. I still think putting a date signifies that you have left.
  5. I did my health checks about 3-4 weeks back and have the results for both myself and my partner sitting on my desk in paper form (unopened from Medibank, went to the Melbourne center). The original plan was to lodge an 856 in paper form to IMMI. I was unable to lodge an 856 as my Police Checks are still in transit from Australian Federal Police. Looks like I now have to lodge a 186 instead of a 856. As part of the requirements for a health check for an 186, looks like the health check results need to be done with eHealth How does this affect me? I am hoping I do not have to pay out for 2 medical again with Medibank?
  6. Applying for my 186 online. On 13/19, you have to include your employment history. The Info help tells you: It also states to put your most recent job first. On doing this and leaving the field blank, you get a validation error: I have left it as todays date, but this will give impression that I have left the employer that has approved my sponsorship! Have raised via SkillSelect support, but the automated response is: This new online applciation has a lot of bugs and has not been designed that well.
  7. Page 5/19 for applying for a 186 Im on a 457. My employer applied for nominating me for a 856 and we have a nomination letter through. Now, the above seem to be specific for permanent visas and not my 457 ticket that I have in my passport? Q1 - I am not sure if I should be tapping in my 457 details for the 2nd question. Q2 - From a 457 perspective, I do not actually understand the difference for these 2 questions.
  8. Was in the process of doing an 856, but due to delays from Australia Federal Police, I now have to lodge a 186 online. Going through the process now. It asks on 5/19: The answer is yes, I came here backpacking on my older british passport, that I now no longer have and have no record of it. They need to know the details as shown in the above screenshot, and I cannot fill it out. How do I proceed?
  9. Thanks myaccessaustralia. I have asked the person that sent me the confirmation letter, but going on past responses, it can take a couple of weeks for her to respond, and usually with very short responses. I will post back what i find, but would love to hear what you can find out. Currently running through the online 186 application. It let me enter the nomination# so I will see how it goes.
  10. Im just trying to work out if this is a bad thing or not. Apart from the fact ive filled in a lot of paperwork and looks like I have to now apply online, 1. I am assuming my nomination letter is still valid 2. I am assuming as I have not lodged my 856, I have not lost out on any fees?
  11. so, even though my employer nominated the position for an 856 before the 1st July, I can no longer apply for the 856? Yes, been at current employer for 3yrs on a 457, 856 was recommended option for me to get residency. I actually paid the employer fee for the first part. Looks like I need to lodge a 186?
  12. My employer lodged for an 856 application about 3 months back. Got the approval nomination letter through on the 16th May. Since then, I have been compiling all the neccessary paperwork to submit the 2nd part of my application (employee side). I have been delayed due to the police checks for Australia still not turning up. Ive just spotted on IMMI site for 856 that things have been turned upside down once again: Which checklist should I now be using to do the second part of my applicaiton? I am confused on how to proceed. Really appreciate any help.
  13. Business HQ is located in Brisbane. I work in the Melbourne branch. Ill send to Melbourne, but bit worried that they may not know where the first half was lodged. The nomination letter was sent by the Parramatta processing centre.
  14. I am nearly ready to submit the second part of my 856 application. My employer lodged the first part with the Brisbane Center of Excellence. This sounds like it was a mistake, as it mentions they do not process 856 applications. 856 'Where to Lodge' also states to send the second part (employee) to the same center. I have my medicals tomorrow and need to let them know which center to send the results to. My dilemma is, I have contradicting info and do not know if I should be sending the 2nd part of my application to - The same center that my employer lodged with (Brisbane does not process 856 apps) - An actual center that supports 856 applicaitons (e.g Melbourne) I asked immi, but have heard nothing back. Help!
  15. Thanks. Ill skip it then. We can always send them through if specifically requested for.
  16. This has been raised on a few other posts but I still have not found a definitive answer. Myself and my partner (both from the UK) are applying for an 856 (without a migration agent) We have already had an approval letter as our employer lodged the first half. The following checklist (which I would assume to be the definitive source for applying for an 856) Employer Nomination Scheme / Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme - Application Document Checklist This form makes no mention of filling in form 80. Employer Nomination Scheme Visa Decision Ready Document Checklist (Migration Agent) The easy answer would be to include a form 80 for myself and my partner, but form 80 is not the easiest of forms to fill in and it will take a significant chunk of time for us to gather the info and fill the form in. For an unassisted 856 application, do you need to include Form 80?
  17. My partner is filling in form 47A as a defacto partner to accompany my lodgment for an 856 visa. We have the approval letter from IMMI in response to my employer lodging the initial part of the 856 visa. Q3 on form 47A asks: Other people on the net have mentioned leaving it blank or perhaps using the application ID from the approval letter. What is the correct number to fill in here?
  18. a person who lives in an intimate relationshipwith but is not married to a person of the opposite sex. Dictionary.com Still different to family IMO.
  19. My gut is telling me include her. But she is not a family member. She is my de facto partner. So logic tells me to not include her.
  20. Anyone got a 2nd opinion?
  21. If you read the original question: I am not sure how you define someone on a 457. Perhaps I am a temporary resident. Perhaps I am a resident from the UK working contractually for an Australian business.
  22. Yes. I know the answers kind of on the tin here, but I still want clarification. I live in a house in Australia. However, I am applying to get residency in Australia. Therefore am I a current resident of Australia or a visitor?
  23. Im filling in 47ES for my 856 visa application, for myself (primary) and my de facto partner. I am living in Australia on a 457, and have been for last 3 years. Question 16 asks: Now bearing in mind that I am applying for residency for Australia, but have been living here for last 3 years, am I a resident of UK or Australia. Thanks :dull:
  24. Im filling in 47ES for my 856 visa application, for myself (primary) and my de facto partner. Q2 on page 1 asks Does my de facto partner account for a family member?
