1. We bought a house in christies beach last year, large plot, pool ect with sea/beach less that 2 min drive.. love the area would recommend..
 2. another forum mentioned bridging visas but unsure about that route too. i think they will have to stick to their 3 months holiday each year. We have enough room in our garden for them to build a granny house/flat so that would cut down costs but i think its still far to much financially. thanks for all the replies. Lisa
 3. I had no idea of the extra $14,000, well i think that answers things, no way can they/we afford all that.. thanks for the assistance.
 4. thank you both for your replies, therefore can i clarify that out of first instalment of $2,060, then the second installment of $42,220, x2 $84,440, we would only get back $14,000 after the 10yrs? sorry im totally rubbish at getting all of this, Lisa
 5. Hello.. can anybody answer me this.. if my parents came on a permanent Contributory Parent (Migrant) visa (subclass 143) and one of them died before the 10 years is up (when they get the bond refunded). Is half of the money refunded to the spouse or family? As the cost will be nearly $100,000 for the 2 of them, its a lot of money to lose. Hope i have made sense Lisa
 6. obviously, super cool kids names, lol.. i cant answer the question on the schooling as we had a pr visa and were in South Australia. i pay for private school for Ethan which is around $5000 per year, Adam passed his SACE in public school last year that cost us around $390 for the year. im sure somebody else can answer this for you.
 7. Oh the joys i remember it well, well if you have failed you wont be the first or last!! i failed my first two on the reading with 6.5, then my third on the writing 6.5, but got this over turned into a pass. was gonna give up said to hubby would only attempt 3 times. its just practice, practice, practice... lots of free stuff online, i paid for ielts higher one month in the end. Good luck, you may have done fine
 8. I cant answer your questions as it has changed since i applied. Good luck with your applications and hope to see you in south australia one day. dont know if you are aware but there is another site called poms in adelaide which focuses more on SA. Lisa
 9. Hi all, sorry not read all post tooo long.... I think i have cocked up my registration big time. Im usually very organised but think got a bit lost with paperwork overload!!! iv sent my application but feel iv made 2 mistakes. 1) got solicitor to sign not notiary 2) read you have to send off somthing for fitness to practice? do you have to get the NMC to send something? Im not in any real hurry as only just put in for PR visa but thought i would try to sort early. Will the whole application be rejected or will they advise what i have done wrong and instruct me to put it right?? iv sent some emails in the past but rarely get a reply. Is it worth me sorting the certified documents again and getting a notiary to sign them and forward them now?? Lisa

 11.
Hi, I spoke with HR yday and said they will sort the form for me today. Tbh all are very encouraging and seem pleased that we are trying to progress with our lives and wished they could do the same. I cant wait to leave my job, worried about starting again though.

Hi, i contacted them last Tue and she said it was fine and the info on diplomas refered to Oz nurses. However they seem to be saying a lot of things wrong over the phone and i am worried too. I mailed them and did not get a good response just referred me back to site. Were just about to fork out £3500 and dont want too if i cant register!! iv mailed them again today and am going to send my docs off to them asap although she told me to wait until May. I dont trust them to be honest, i will let you know what they say.

 13. Hi all when i phoned AHPRA on Tue night she advised me that my diploma was ok and not to apply until after May as you have to pay again after May and if your not planning to move yet its a waste of money so im going to wait. lets hope she was correct as they seem to be making a lot of mistakes!! Lisa x
 14. My apologies if this has been covered i have not read every post on this thread. Does anybody know if SA are after 5yrs experience and if APHPRA accept diploma educated nurses?? We orginally wanted WA but I dont have the 7ys exp they are now after for a PR visa. I have a positive skills ass with ANMC and filled out all the info online for SA sponsorerd skills visa but somewhere i read that you needs 5yrs?? and then it looks like you have to apply to APHRA as you have to show proof of registration and read something about diploma nurses being accepted in 2014. Sorry im not dim but some of these website are not very clear!! I want to submit my application to SA but need to clarify these first. + will my ielts be forwarded to APHRA from ANMC as it asks for it to be sent directly to them but i took it ages ago. Am i making sense or just rambling!! I have emailed both parties but dont know when i will get a reply. Anyone!! Lisa

Just applied to SA online and its asking for""evidence of any licencing or registration requirements for your nominated"" can i send the letter from the NMC stating that i am registered?? this is the one you get sent when you ask for your details to be sent to the ANMC for skills ass. OR do i have to apply to aprha as this may take ages??
