Jillyg65 Posted October 22, 2011 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Hello I am 'trying' to fill out the 176 visa application form (am a complete novice!!) I am having a little trouble with a question. They ask " have you been to Australia before ? & have you had a visa? So we have been to oz in 2002 & we had a tourist visa. They ask for the visa number . Date & place of issue. I have checked in my old passport and there is no visa there. I cannot of course continue with the application until I have completed that page. And obviously cannot complete that page. Bexy71 Posted October 22, 2011 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Hi, We've not long put our 176 in and after seeing advice on here i didn't put a number in for our tourist visa (ETA) from 2006. I did put a date and London i think for place of issue. The page was accepted and i haven't had any indication that this wasn't acceptable. lebourvellec Posted October 22, 2011 Share Posted October 22, 2011 On the online application form the "?" next to visa number when you press it it brings up an information box which states - "If any person included in this application have visited Australia in the past and do not have a visa label in their passport, they were probably issued with an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA). I presume he sat the test on the 8th Oct, same as me, I got my results today in the post.
