We have just agreed job contract, so the next step is the Visa (457), can anyone point me in the right direct or let me know what forms to find to give us a rough indication what to expect or what information is going to be needed. I want to get all this information together in advance to speed up the process. I have been looking on the immagration website but am getting very confused. Thanks guys Hi, 3 stages, sponsorship- 1.employer applies to become business sponsor, 2. nomination of the position 3. e457 employee applies. domino effect. you cant any later part approved unless you get the earlier one done. you can apply for all 3 together tho and say you want the later part cancelled if the earlier one is declined. website can be a bit confusing....we are in the process. sussex boy Posted March 3, 2011 Share Posted March 3, 2011 I would at least get scanned copies of things like birth certs, passports, references from previous employers etc. Chest xrays are required and are valid for a year so get them booked, you will need to get some of these stamped and signed by a lawyer etc. Good luck, where are you heading for? Company has done there bit and they have previosly had done the process. We have been told that ours will be classed as a priority (whatever that means)? Sussex Boy - Heading for Sydney, Are medicals always asked for with 457 ???? Its so confusing, I just wanted to read through the forms to get a rough idea of what is going to be required and questions they are going to ask for.... RobertBurns Posted March 3, 2011 Share Posted March 3, 2011 no medicals are required for a 457 unless you are going to be working in the medical profession or in close contact with children. make sure you also have the adequate level of medical insurance in place for when you submit the application. Thanks, the comoany is sorting the medical insurance, so one less thing to worry about. Any idea on forms i have to complete.
