Not sure about from UK, but i sent mine express from US and got there in 3 or 4 days. A week after DIAC received them, my online status changed to 'Health requirements finalised'. Not sure how soon after that you will get your visa though.

I am so glad I frontloaded my police checks, as the FBI ones take up to 3 months to come through.

Hi All

Got an email from our agent this morning and we have a case officer!! Wooo hoooo.

We are Cat 2, ACT SS received Nov 2009, husband is code 2231-11 Systems Manager.

Hoping you all get your co's very soon.

Hi All, our agent emailed us yesterday with the news of the CO and said that the DIAC have given us 28 days (27 days today) to get all our medicals and police clearance certificates redone as they have expired (we did them a while back) and has also asked us to update our Form 80's, do you also have to do this? We did move from the UK end last year back to South Africa, so maybe this is why. We did originally apply for 175 visas in Nov 2007, then last year applied for ACT ss. Just wondering if you ACT'ers had the same requests. I could wait until Monday to ask our agent but I am curious now.

Many thanks

Hi,

We were only asked for Medicals and Police Clearance. Nothing about a Form 80. What's that form for?

Our agent told us Form 80 is a kind of general character assessment form, going into more background about yourself - and that, apparently, it's at the discretion of the CO whether or not you're requested to do one. The grounds on which they make the request, I don't know.

In my case I suspect it's because I have lots of siblings, some of whom lived abroad at sometime or another.

Michael if you've not been asked for a Form 80 - count yourself extremely lucky - it's an absolute 6u99er to fill in:wacko:

I had a look at it - looks like a nightmare. Listing all the times you've left the country in the last ten years. I work abroad nearly every week. Would have run into pages and pages and wouldn't even remember all my trips! My OH was Cabin Crew. Can you imagine that - he used to leave the country twice a day!!!

Yup you got that right - Form 80 is a nightmare, I'm onto my second attempt to fill it in as I can't do it online. I've 7 sibllings details to put in ringing Uk and abroad to check citizenship stuff...my mum got cross with me when I tried to get more details about her and dad's citizenship...it just goes on and on and on:swoon: at least we can get the PCCs and GP reports off next week...

lol, like I said Michael count yourself extremely lucky avoiding Form-from-hell 80:arghh:

I am still unaware about the requirements sent by my CO in his e-Mail. My agent will return on monday. one thing is sure that my My CO asked for FORM80 which is displayed as REQUESTED.

After watching several posts on PIo and some other forums i dont know whether CO asked for medicals or not. may be i was mistaken.

From last one day i m kicking myself for being over enthusiastic.

Lets hope e-Mail contain some good stuff for me.

after Checking FORM80 i m feeling that i have to watch a HORROR movie alongside DRACULA, JACK The Ripper and FREDDY rather than my GF.

We printed Form 80 off and completed by hand first. We collated all documents required in order on the floor and then did it on-line. Ley x

Can someone tell me what SMP

Hi Dave,

SMP is a list of occupations released by the state as per their requirement.

SA have not as yet come out with their SMP. To know whether you are in category 2, you will have to wait and see if your occupation is on their SMP.

Dear Dave

Unfortunately SA SMP have not come out yet. I will add your details to the front page when we are sure you fall into Category 2.
