Its actually taken from 4.5 years from starting the whole process off ! I am doing flick flacks here !! Will update my details on here tonight, like timeline etc... We were in the Category 2's. Hi Kutching, I think you must keep the receipts of the police checks and the medicals when you do them, then email them to your agent (if you have one) or to your case officer to say you have applied for them but just waiting to get the police checks back and maybe they will give you extra days, cause I am doing that. Good luck

Oh and we also did our S African police checks yesterday, will courier them off today. Will send off for our UK ones tomorrow, they take quick.

Hi Kuching, great news, its all moving fast now whick is great. We also have a case officer for ACT SS - got one last week Friday. We are in South Africa, so have to get police checks from here and in the UK as we were living there last year. But the South African police checks take 6 weeks ! We dont even have a month to do it in?? Anyway, we will scan our payment receipt to our agent so he can email it to our case officer to say we have applied and paid but just waiting. We did our medicals yesterday and hoping the doctor will courier them off today to Australia. I asked my agent how long it would take to grant the visa once our case officer has all the required documents (medicals, police check and form 80) and he said that the case officer could finalise and grant the visa in ONE DAY ! Such great news

Hi All, our agent emailed us yesterday with the news of the CO and said that the DIAC have given us 28 days (27 days today) to get all our medicals and police clearance certificates redone as they have expired (we did them a while back) and has also asked us to update our Form 80's, do you also have to do this? We did move from the UK end last year back to South Africa, so maybe this is why. We did originally apply for 175 visas in Nov 2007, then last year applied for ACT ss. Just wondering if you ACT'ers had the same requests. I could wait until Monday to ask our agent but I am curious now. Many thanks

Hi All Got an email from our agent this morning and we have a case officer!! Wooo hoooo. We are Cat 2, ACT SS received Nov 2009, husband is code 2231-11 Systems Manager. Hoping you all get your co's very soon.

Okay, thanks so much for the tel number. We dont have a TRN though as it was paper based (thats what our agent said) but if I give our ref number or surname am sure they can find us. Thanks again.... I will have to phone late tonight (I'm in South Africa)

Hi clickettuk Are you using an agent or doing the application yourself? Just asking because you phoned the DIAC to ask. We are using an agent ourselves, so not really sure if I should phone DIAC myself to ask? I'm so impatient as well. and am sure we all are. I'm just waiting daily to hear from our agent for any news.............

Hi Wannabeoz, thanks for your info. When did you actually get your ACT ss? End last year? We have actually been waiting for years. We originally applied for a 175 back in 2007 !! Then so many changes and here we are still waiting..... Come on CO's... please please contact us all sooooooooooon

Which ACT'ers got SS last year? We got ss in Nov 09. It seems that applicants who applied and got ss this year for the ACT are getting CO's?

WOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOO Congratulations Claireg. You must be soooo thrilled ! I cannot keep my eyes off my laptop and cellphone as I'm logged into PomsinOz all the time now. I even check at odd hours of the morning just to see if there is an update. And good luck for the birth of your baby, at least you dont have to stress about whether to get medicals done now, and you cant as you're nearly due, so you can just relax and wait until after the birth :smile:
