Guest coltrane
Hi all, There is big age diffence btw me and my gf (we are getting married soon), it is more than 10 years. I am 24 male. Do you think that might be a problem or is "genuine and ongoing relationship" bottomline? Thanks!
ali
Don't see why it should be a problem if you meet the defacto criteria and provide the necessary evidence.
Guest Guest31881
I cannot see age being a problem, i believe it is phrased a relationship to the exclusion of all others, an age differance is not of interest to the DIAC,

So long as she is 10 years older than you and you are not 10 years older than her ( making her 14!!!:biglaugh:) It wont be a problem at all, the reason I know this is because my Husband is 14 years younger than me!! (ssshhhh though don't tell anyone!:biglaugh:)

The DIAC cannot legitimately refuse a spouse visa because of age difference, although they sometimes do.
