pau1evs
hia guys well i have arrived in melbourne and hurray back with paul and the kids have not left him alone which i am thoughly enjoyin !!! lol he has 10 weeks worth to catch up on !!! Got to say what a nightmare first flight from heathrow to bangkok with thai airways 11 hours of no personal tv or games !!!!! (which stated on booking!!!) only one tv per 10 rows and alot of very big heads in the way that the kids actually gave up trying to watch and how many times they said are we there yet !!!! and the food was not great as in the eyes of my daughter it looks like cat sxxx she announced very loudly (yes that was us ) they would not even provide any snacks for them while they were serving to the business class crisps and sandwiches !!! So i hit bagkok with avengence now armed with books , colours and chocolate (not a crisp in sight ) to get on the 2nd flight with personal tvs games and crisps and all prompty fall asleep xx lol Our furniture is on its way !! so now after renting out and clearing out our house in the uk now back to the grind stone trying to find rental house, school, car and friends no rest for the wicked xxxx at least the sun is shining this side !!! and the kids can nag paul now !!! thanks guys for all the support carole x

Forget the flight and get on with your new life in this beautiful part of the world. Where in Melbourne are you looking to settle? Terry

chapmans
Hey, Glad you survived the flight and are all together again! We are moving to Melbourne around June time, ( if all goes to plan ) just waiting for the job offer to officially arrive, which should be early next week. Would be great to hear how you get on with finding a rental, schools etc etc as we have no idea, where we would want to settle, other than close to the beach. How old are your kids? We have a 10 yr old boy and 14 yr old girl.

Guest GillianM
Hi Vanessa, yes Hollie is coming with us and she cant wait, she thinks its boring here not much to do. Shes feels tough with her left school that it will be harder for her to meet new friends, i told her not to worry that ill be her friend lol, Brogan she will go to school and she is looking forward to it. Austin has days hes all excited then he is scared ****less, im the same probably but i think its for the better. Had the house valued today and it was valued more than we thought and she said shed seen alot of properties and ours was really impressive and would sell quick, so thats good news. Im not looking forward in leaving my son Michael but thats was his decision not to join us so not much i can do. At least we have computers with webcams to keep in touch. Where abouts do you live? were Perth Scotland. Gillian
Guest steph13
I am completely new to this site, so please bear with me!!! I am 30yrs old and my hubby is 41, we have 2 girls aged 7 and 10yrs!! We want to make the move to Oz, but I just dont know where to start!! I have completed an online test thing, which was very simple, which said my Hubby had enough points to get in as he is a Carpenter & Joiner!! Its on the list of wanted skilled jobs!! But what do I do next? I have seen a migration agent, True Blue!! Is it best to get in touch with them? How long will process take? Do we need lots of money? ( Which we dont have!!!) So I am feelin quite overwhelmed, nervous but very excited!!! On the plus side as well my best friend and her family are thinking of making the move as well, which would be fab!! But where to start??? Any help would be massively appreciated!! xx
