Just to let you know we asked if we have a c.o. and where informed that we had been allocated one the day after our SS form was received by DIAC, which would be about 22/10/09. We've had no status updates or contact as yet.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for the update! As we sent our 1100 form yesterday, it surely is good news to hear that you were allocated to CO so quickly. Hope you'll get the good news real soon.

Good luck!!

Thanks Kelly,

Wish you and everyone on the forum the best and a quick visa grant. Had you been allocated a case officer before the 23 Sep 2009 changes kicked in? What does your agent has to say now?

Gotta sit back & wait now.........Along with my fellow 5+'ers

I keep hoping that the misister will make new changes that will mean those that were in the system can be processed, but to be honest, im skeptical about that.....:frown:

Yes you are right kelly, that is very strange!

I wonder if we ask what Team their CO's are on it might show a pattern??? Perhaps, perhaps not..? This is the DIAC after all, and I think they make their own set of internal rules too!

Maybe they still are - all the ones Priority 4 applied in May. There are no higher priorities prior to June. It is possible that the ones we have on this list just haven't got to the stage that visas can be processed yet due to the changes. Maybe COs are waiting for meds or something or people only recently switched to priority 2 etc from 4 after getting SS? Or maybe they are just settling down to a rhythm after the changes. It's a pity there are not more people on here.

Hi,

I am on of the May visa applicants shown in the list here, who has a visa grant.

I dont know what team my CO is in, but think that May applicants were allocated case officers before the other categories, as they are mostly later applications. I also sent off for my pcc's 3 weeks before getting the CO, so uploaded them the day after the CO was allocated, and booked in for my meds in advance of getting the CO. I got a CO on 29/9 but at the start of Sept thought I was close to getting a CO so booked in for meds on 29/9, then they were processed really quickly by HOC and I was granted the visa a few days after they were received.

Perhaps some of the other applicants have yet to get meds done and with the postal strikes are still waiting for pcc's back. This would delay things. Also, if there were any issues with the meds it delays things too.

On a positive note, could it be that there aren't that many Priority 1-4's out there? Which would be great news for you guys, I know PIO is only a small reflection of visa applicants, but you never know!!

Thank you once again to Kelly, Tasha and Vickymel...you're doing a brilliant job:yes:

Just to say I had a reply from the PLE I sent last week...pretty standard stuff...here is an excerpt...

As your nominated occupation is on the CSL, you will receive priority

processing. This means that your visa application will be assessed in the

order listed above according to whether you are sponsored by an employer;

nominated by a state or territory government, sponsored by a family member

or an independent applicant.

Applicants with a nominated occupation on the CSL who have applied for

either an onshore or offshore GSM visa, are estimated to have their visa

application finalised within 12 months from your lodgement date.

Hi Kelly,

Another great thread:smile: YOu certainly deserve your visa Mega quick!! Well i contacted my agent to ask if there was any word on my visa and he said its too early to contact DIAC so i will just have to wait :-( They dont seem to be getting through them very quickly though considering the change in process, all of my documents were finalised weeks ago so i dont understand what im waiting for!!!
