peggy Posted September 27, 2009 Author Share Posted September 27, 2009 yeah th bloke told us after the test when we put our application in that we had been approve and when would we want the ceremony but because we go away at end of oct to the uk and dont get back till end of nov he said we would be pushing it to get the ceremony in and than getting an aussie passport because as soon as you have taken the oath yourvisa becomes null and void in your english passport so thought wait till dec but there is no ceremonies in dec so jan it is. ErmintrudeMcMoo Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I think it also depends on where you live - we sat our tests June (poss July can`t quite remember) and we don`t get our ceremony until Australia day. We had to wait until we had our letter(which we got dated 10th August), then we had to wait another month from that date until DIAC sent a letter to our local council before they would book us in for the ceremony.
