Basically, she joined this website out of curiosity because I told her about it. She tends to lurk, but just hasn't got up the confidence to post on here yet. She won't listen to me about just taking the plunge and putting your thoughts out there, which seems like a wasted opportunity to me!

She (and I ) would quite like to meet Brits in the Springfield Lakes/Western Suburbs of Brisbane area. We have a 3 year old daughter and have been here for 5 years now. I'm full Pom and she is an AusPom who grew up in Brisbane. Both of us get nostalgic, from time to time, about the UK and its nice to have the best of both worlds I reckon, living here in OZ and socialising with a mix of people.

Please write back if interested in meeting up.

Scotty

Hi, we are in Springfield lakes so could def meet up. Only been over for 6 weeks from manchester. We have 2 girls aged 4 and 2. I am also a bit shy about meeting people but am also very bored, so am taking the plunge. Does your wife know about the playgroup in SL. I joined last week and everyone was very friendly and there arn't too many people there. Just a thought.

Hi Mr & Mrs Scotty dog.

Dont be shy to post on here it is an oracle of information, a good 99% of your queeries or just general curiosities will be answered on here. And we as Dawny has said we dont bite, (she is however, muzzled so she cant really...lol..) Just start off asking folk where they are living now and where they have come from, I am sure there will be brits living not too far away who are up for a meet up. We're not in the West but in the Northern suburbs, Woody Point will be moving there this week. i don't know if that's abit too far from you, if it is'nt then believe me i'd welcome some peopl in our lives.

We're on the coast near Redcliffe.

Let me know if you fancy a day out by the sea.
