RyanDoris
Hi everyone, Was wondering if you guys had any advice as a lot of the info out there is conflicting. Currently waiting on word for our EOI's which were submitted over a year ago. With the borders opening again, would it be possible to do skilled work while on a working holiday visa? Process is taking forever but feel if we were able to do some work in our field while in Aus this could add to our Australian work experience and we could gain extra points in the hope of obtaining a skilled visa. But not sure if this would be breaking some sort of rules. Any advice would be so appreciated! Thank you!

can1983
I worked in a career job on my WHV, it was over 10 years ago mind! There is no requirement for it to be a low pay hospitality or fruit picking job.
Ausvisitor
The requirement is that it is no more than six months with any one employer. Other than that pretty much anything goes

Paul, does it matter if you have submitted a 491 visa and then apply for a WHV? I have been waiting since April 2020 but I appreciate I need to wait my turn for my 491 grant but the WHV would get me onshore and working at least? There is no law against applying for more than one visa at the same time.
