TonyC Posted May 11, 2021 Share Posted May 11, 2021 Hello I was born in UK in 1965 but my parents took me to Canada in 1967. I know live in Australia and want to return to the UK. Anyone else have a similar story and how they worked it out. I keep going in circles on the government website. I qualify from date of birth and both parents were citizens back then. BexB Posted August 20, 2021 Share Posted August 20, 2021 Hi Tony, just been reading your post and was wondering how you are getting on? My other half left the UK 40 years ago when he was 10 and when we reconnected last year he decided to come home. First thing he did was apply for his UK passport and it all went through really smoothly. Think it took about a month from sending off the application to receiving it in the post.
