DamoC
Hi, Can anyone confirm if you are allowed to enter Australia currently once your off shore partner visa is approved? Or is this subject to getting an exemption, or waiting for the international borders to be reopened again, whenever that may be. I just need to know the risks in heading back to the UK, while my visa is being processed, or if I’m best staying in Australia. Even though I can’t work due to restrictions on current tourist visa/bridging visa.
paulhand
If you hold a 309, you can currently enter Australia without the need for an exemption.
DamoC
Thanks @paulhand your reply is appreciated as always. Let’s just hope this is the same result as and when my application is processed.

However, be aware there are currently restrictions on the number of people who can enter each day, flight prices are high, and you will need to pay several thousand dollars for quarantine. Slackbladder
We have to enter by January 21 but can't believe they aren't offering extension on this date given the caps and Melbourne closure. Quote

The visa will have a first entry date on it. This is normally 12 months from the police or medical check, which ever was the earliest
