Guest Tomlinsons Posted November 12, 2008 Share Posted November 12, 2008 Im feeling really nervous now we have been called back from medicals, Victoria needs another chest x-ray they took 2 of her when we were there, she had contact with someone with TB in January although was given the all clear from hospital and told she hadnt been exposed! Guest Tomlinsons Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 Hi all, well good news and bad news. Victoria doesnt have TB phew she has an unusual looking hilum (dont ask!). The bad news is my dad has just been diagnosed with cancer completely out of the blue, poor prognosis he's only 65. This has turned my world upside down. Can anybody confirm that you have to validate your visa in person within 9 months and then you have 5 years to move permanently or have I dreamt this?. Guest annemarie and brian Posted November 17, 2008 Share Posted November 17, 2008 hi tomlinsons, i am so glad that the check up went good,but i am really sorry to here about your dad its true you have a year from your police checks to validate and you have to validate in person,but i think you should check about the five year thing as we have been told by our agent it is four years. That was only last week but maybe it varies on what type of visa you go on i am not sure. i hope this helps? annemarie p.s our thoughts are with you.
