rammygirl
We will be in Brisbane for our 30th wedding anniversary. Staying on the South Bank. Never been before so would welcome some recommendations for a nice restaurant to go for our anniversary, which is also my hubbies birthday ( we had to have two cakes!). It falls in a Tuesday so that is the night we want to go somewhere special for the occasion, as we will be eating out every night for a week anyway. MissionMelbourne
The best place we ate at in Brisbane was a sushi place called Saké right next to the eagle street pier, the restaurant is very plush and the food was incredible. We sat at the sushi bar which runs around the kitchen and as good as the food was, it was an equally brilliant experience watching the chefs at work as every dish and platter that was sent out was a work of art. I strongly recommend this place.

srg73
What are you after. Steak, go to Breakfast Creek Hotel. Views, go to Mount Cootha Summit Restaurant, sort of French style but killer views. Dont like the boat cruise personally. Eagle Street Chinese is very nice but must book. Somethng a little different, take the ferry from South Bank and go to Eat Street, casual street food, live entertainment etc and $2 to get in. Stop off at a few bars in Bullimba, New Farm Power House etc on the way. Enjoy. Edited August 1, 2017 by srg73

rammygirl
Thanks to all. We are now back after a great week in Brisbane, what a great place! We ate out on Eagle Street pier, on the South Bank, the CBD and the West End with plenty of walking to offset the indulgences!. Not a bad meal from any. For our Anniversary meal we had the degustation menu at Malt, it was lovely and perfect as it is small and intimate.
