Sarahlook1
Can anyone tell me if they have ever bought and shipped appliances over to Aus from the UK. Even considering shipping it seems to be a lot cheaper than buying here. I was looking to buy these items: http://www.saveenergysavemoney.com.au/product-details/heating-cooling/electric-heaters/wall-mounted/blf50.aspx http://www.saveenergysavemoney.com.au/product-details/heating-cooling/air-conditioners/split-system-air-conditioners/dcss18.aspx http://www.eands.com.au/wolf-dual-fuel-upright-cooker-icbdf364g/ It actually works out to be about $3500 less than buying them from over here, just worried about shipping and warranties and stuff? Anyone got any experience with this or recommend any companies to use in the UK who have experience with this? Thanks

Patphillips47
There was me going to look as I love a bargain AOL is now in Australia some good prices as well when last I looked
Cliffy43
Surely one of the main points when making any large purchase is the validity of the warranty. It would be difficult to operate a Worldwide guarantee, even on small appliances. Also, new items shipped into Australia would generally be subject to local taxes. I also endorse AOL and they will price match with any retailer Australia wide. We had a great deal on a fridge a little while ago.
NicF
Another vote for appliances online. We bought a washing machine and they were great from start to finish. So much easier than dealing with some of the other large electrical suppliers.
Guest The Pom Queen
Yes I also like appliances online although their postage costs to the FNQ can be ridiculous. They keep saying they offer free delivery but then that's only in certain areas.
M1cha3la
That cooker on the last link is beautiful, but $28k :err: We have sold our white goods with the house so had been debating whether to buy new here and ship. But the warrantee thing seems like a real headache and then there is the goods less than 12 months old tax ect, so we are going to wait. I will check out Appliances Online based on the good reviews here :cute:
