Or could I apply being a dependant I'm in my 40s.
Suzukiscottie
http://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/186- If you go for the ENS186 employer sponsored option, there are quite a few age exemptions. Check the link above to see how your situation fits into that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
VERYSTORMY
It is very difficult. After 50, he would need to meet a series of conditions. One of which is salary. I believe the minimum salary is about $130k.
MaggieMay24
It's possible, but the options are incredibly limited. Perhaps speak with a migration agent to see if you would qualify for any of these limited possibilities, or if you (being under 50) have any path as a primary applicant. Marisawright
I'd say you need a MARA registered agent - if you have any chance at all, it will be very limited so you'll need to know exactly what to do, when. I know it is tough for you but sadly, Australia just doesn't want migrants over 50. The problem for them, is that if someone emigrates at 50, they'll work in Australia for 15 years and then be entitled to a FULL Australian pension and all the benefits that go with that. Clearly, only 15 years of work isn't going to pay for what could be 20 or more years of pension, plus aged care, plus the higher medical costs associated with old age and death. So a migrant over 50 is likely to cost Australia more than they contribute.
