MrsSmithy81
If you are sure that you already have everything uploaded then don't upload anything else, it will delay your application further, as they have to scrutinise everything that you send, regardless of whether it is useful or not. If you have doubts, then you must upload until you're satisfied that everything is covered. Thanks. I'm sure we've got everything but I now feel panicked and have convinced myself it will be refused at its taking so long.
CaptainC
Thanks. I'm sure we've got everything but I now feel panicked and have convinced myself it will be refused at its taking so long. Believe me, you haven't been waiting long, there are applicants from March/April/May still waiting that I know about. Mine took over three months. Three months and 6 days to be exact. It's only three months for you today, don't panic now, and go throwing a whole heap of documents at them. Wait for them to contact you to ask for more info if they need it, then submit it and call them to say that you've done it. They may say that they have to do some routine external or internal checks. If they say this then you'll just have to wait, as there is no timescale for it, and has been known to take some time.

Rozy
Hi All CO has requested my forms 80 and 1221 last July , while i was away from my country of residence, i replied with the only available information that i had, with a promise to complete all documents when i go back , had a reply on mid august that it will be reviewed again on the 15th of October, i uploaded all requested docs on 10 October and sent email to GSM. allocated but so far no response it's been almost 3 weeks and i started to get nervous, afraid of being rejected is this time frame normal after indicating that the application will be reviewed on 15 of October but so far no news? or shall i relax and just wait ? CaptainC
The processing standard is three months from the processing teams receiving a full application, so it would start from the day that you submitted the additional information. That being said, it seldom takes that long .
kde2014
It doesn't matter which processing centre handles it, Adelaide or Brisbane. They both handle all applications, just imagine that they're in the same room. Hi we are awaiting a 190 visa for NSW is there a gsm email address for NSW do you know please? Thanks

Alicek
Hi there, I have applied with my partner for the 189 visa and de-facto on 30th July. We uploaded all the required documents, medicals and police checks. On 16th September immigration asked for more proof of employment (from my partner) and both form 80's. We submitted these on 7th October. I would like to know if the 3 months processing time starts again from 7th October? Or whether it continues from when we uploaded our original documents? Any information would be very much appreciated! Thanks, Alice

JPinJP
I lodged my application 18th July and got an email from the CO 8th Sept requesting for Police checks. It took me almost a month before I could obtain my police check and after not hearing from them for almost 4 weeks, they have now requested Form 80s to be filled out!! Seriously, why can't they just ask for everything all at once. Do I really have to give out all my information on the Form i.e. travel dates? Has there been any issues on not granting a visa due to some missing information on these forms?

Yes you'll have to complete all of the form including all of your travel activity to the best of your ability. To give you some perspective, my travel history on form 80 was 60 pages. I know people that have had form 80 sent back for it not being complete enough, or to their satisfaction. Form 80 is being asked for fairly frequently now, and I've always advised applicants to make a start on completing the form, regardless.
Kirstyj
We went through an agent which I am glad now, as we had our police checks and filled out form 80 before hand, that did have me tearing my hair out but thankfully our agent said we had put enough information on it, good luck

I lived in another country well over a year but I did not include it in my application with my 457 visa. Now that I have to complete this form(80), would it be wise to include it this time? I just couldn't be bothered obtaining another police check back then and well I guess i'm paying the price this time. sigh

The department will verify your travel history against passport records from your country, so failing to declare this time could be fatal. You'll also have to make arrangements for a PCC from the country you lived in.
Kirstyj
I lived in lanzarote previously, and applied for my police check which they said would be 3 weeks, 8 weeks later and a lot of chasing up I finally received it, so I would apply now. We had originally planned to fly out 2 days ago but had to postpone our plans. Very happy now with a new March date set to fly out Good for you! II have a question for you guys. I was on a 457 visa for almost 2 years with an Insurance cover and now that I have a PR189 visa application pending, can I just stop my private health insurance cover? I just signed up for Medicare and I'm not 31 years old yet so I reckon I don't have to worry re:Medicare Levy as of yet. I'm with iman budget cover and really it doesn't do anything not even a dental and I was hoping to switch to another company just for the extras cover
