MovingtoTasmania
She can't get the baby on her visa, she needs to apply for a dependent child's visa once the baby is born.
Sammy1
A baby born to a parent with PR in Australia is automatically an Aussie citizen. Is it different if you are out of the country?
MovingtoTasmania
If she's lived in Australia for 2 years since getting PR then I think the baby could get citizenship by descent. Has she resided in Aus since getting PR and for how long?

Yes if the baby is not born in Australia they will have to apply for a separate child visa 101 which will give the baby PR, and it wont get citizenship until its parents do. lebourvellec
The child 101 visa currently taking 8-12 months to be granted with applications lodged in London, for 1 child it's currently costing around £1400, but medicals on top and both parents will need new police certificates. Guest The Pom Queen
Wow expensive but at least it can be done
MaggieMay24
If the baby had been born in Australia to PR parents, it would have been an Australian citizen from birth. Since it will be born outside Australia, they will need to apply for a child visa.
