blossom
Can anyone recommend a wet and dry rechargeable epilator? Thanks. :-)
MovingtoTasmania
Remington do an excellent one, it's pricey but it's very very good with lots of attachments. I'll find the model number for you and post it.
MovingtoTasmania
It's the Remington 5-in-1 cordless epilator EP7030, smooth and silky and comes with a 2 year warranty. Here's a review about it http://www.which.co.uk/home-and-garden/bathroom-and-personal-care/reviews-ns/epilators/remington-ep7030-smooth-and-silky-epilator/ if you want to check it out first. ETA: It's not painful as long as you pull the skin and use a circular motion.
blossom
Thanks. That one is actually about $50 cheaper than some of the others I've been looking at so even better. :-) I have had laser hair removal, but since getting pregnant I'm sprouting all over the place. Lol.
MovingtoTasmania
I know how you feel! Pregnancy is great but can really suck too with the side effects of so many hormones! When is the baby due? All the ladies in my family use this particular make and model because it's absolutely brilliant, very good indeed and even an elderly relative of 85+ uses it as it's got a handy light on it so with the use of a magnifier she can actually see any hairs that she might otherwise miss. It's been invaluable!
blossom
Due at the end of October. Actually I've been very lucky with symptoms. No morning sickness. Bladder is only just shrinking lol. First scan is on Wednesday. Scary! Anyway, you've talked me around. I'm off to big w on the weekend. :-)
MovingtoTasmania
I hope you're going to post the scan pic....I shall look forward to it . I think the biggest thing for me will be missing my grandchildren when we move over to Aus but hey ho. Make sure you do go to Big W...I will be posting to check
blossom
Epilator bought and on charge. Interestingly it says for use in bath or shower, but then says under the instructions to make sure the area is clean and dry.... :-/
MovingtoTasmania
Yes, I have used it in both the shower and the bath, but I don't use it under the bath water ifykwim. I think the clean and dry bit is that you make sure that you don't open the battery cover or something crazy like that whilst it's in the water! I think you'll be pleased with the results x
blossom
As promised. :-) And the epilator is doing well. :-)

Parley
Aren't there creams you can use ? Less painful I would think.

There are but they stink to high heaven, apparently aren't great if you are pregnant, and far worst of all, they just break and shrivel the hair so you end up having to shave anyway. MovingtoTasmania
@blossom79 You remembered! The picture looks ace. What an exciting time for you! Did you ask about gender, or are you wanting a surprise? Seeing scan pictures always brings back to my mind how miraculous it is that we can carry tiny little humans inside us. Glad the epilator is working for you xx
Guest51810
Yeah the creams stink and aren't that good anyway. I've never tried the epilator though, does it really hurt?
MovingtoTasmania
Yeah the creams stink and aren't that good anyway. I've never tried the epilator though, does it really hurt? No, it doesn't hurt. If you use it the first couple of times in the shower and make sure that you pull the skin tight then you will get the best results. I use baby oil with aloe vera immediately afterwards and find it soothes very well.

I use baby oil with aloe vera immediately afterwards and find it soothes very well. I had looked up reviews and people had said about it being sore but good reviews. I go for waxes so I guess I'm used to a little pain lol actually found that now I've been for quite a few it doesn't hurt as much. I'm a total wimp with pain. It's annoying having to pay that everytime, least with epilator you only pay for the initial cost so might give it a go

Parley
Well always good to be prepared. Stacey. I'm definitely a Brazilian supporter, and would hate to have a partner that wouldn't keep all that hair away. Not that I have one now but I do like a lady who is hair free. It does make me laugh though when guys say "I couldn't have a partner who wasn't hair free".. I'd like to see them go and get waxed if they were asked. Bet most wouldn't
Parley
Would that be appealing to a lady ? No I don't think I could do it. But having hair seems masculine, whereas being hair free is more feminine.
