Hello everyone,

I tried to search for a thread for this details but could not find much.

I want to apply for a Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300) for my partner.

Can you please tell me about good immigration agents in Sydney? If possible, please give me atleast 3 options.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Priku

Westly Russell (who answered this question at #2) comes across on here as a bit crusty and terse, but he really knows his stuff. I'm sure he's really just a cuddly pussycat when you're face to face. And when it comes to agents, if you pay peanuts, you'll probably get a monkey.

Thanks for your reply, Ozmaniac.

I know Westly Russell is good as he has helped one of my friends in the past... But he is located at St Marys which is quite far from my place .. I want to find an agent near to city side... just so that I can walk in their office and meet personally.. And yes I understand about the peanut-money part.

Thanks again.

Cheers,

Nigel Dobbie is brilliant and managed to have my wife's RRV re-instated after many others had failed!

Tell him Mike and Tracey recommended him!

Unless you have health or criminal record issues, the Prospective Marriage Visa is straightforward and can be done yourself. You'd have to supply the exact same info to DIBP as the agent would ask for. There is a list of what you need in the Partner Migration booklet. The only bit that looks complicated is getting a celebrant and a Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM). The reality is that you just find a celebrant in the yellow pages and they will do the needful for you.

I have a sign on my door that reads -

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN APPOINTMENT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SEARCH WARRANT

There are other signs about children sleeping and do not knock and these premises are under 24/7 to recorded video surveillance, which they are.

Speaking of peanuts and crusty - I went through customs once and was accused of failing to declare nuts.

Arachis hypogaea

is legume, not a nut, you half-witted parasite. I declared the item in question as food. Get your head out of your **** and do the work you are paid for. The last time I was reported to the MARA (now the OMARA) was for telling a client to - jump in the lake you stupid bitch.

I might have to plead guilty to crusty.

In almost all cases, it is not necessary to consult a migration agent in person. Some people want to see their RMA before parting with money, but on the other hand they send thousands to the minister whose delegates are instructed to rip off visa application charges for a range of technical errors.

I constantly advise people that if they want to see me, it will cost $150 + GST, but if they send me an email it will cost nothing for me to have a quick look at the case.

You get what you pay for, sometimes you pay for what you get.

I now have a few options to look into:

George Lombard

Raul T Senise

Westly Russell

Nigel Dobbie

Do let me know if anyone know any other Agents.

I will get the ball rolling in a week or so.
