As nearly everything shipped out of china to Ozcarries a few sachets, I can't see there being a problem...............strange that this question should arise as only today I was told that the gel is placed in shoe boxes not to protect the shoes, but to stop the box absorbing moisture from the leather Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We put several in the fridge/freezer and washing machine to keep them fresh in transit. I asked our packing/moving company and they said it was fine.
