sjn87
Silly question but here it goes. Are wii games set by regions? Im considering taking my Wii over to Australia, I hardly use it here and i know i probably wont use it much over in Australia but still. Just wondering if i buy games in Australia will they work on my Wii from England?
Benok
Wii games are set by regions... also, Australia uses the PAL system for the signal/video; im not familiar with England though.
Suzukiscottie
PAL format in Aus, same as UK. No worries regarding compatibility. We use both UK games and games bought in Australia on our Wii. Del70
DVDs are set by region. I believe that you can play UK DVDs in your UK DVD player, but not Australian ones, and vice versa. We foolishly sent a UK DVD box set over to a friend in Oz, but he couldn't play them on his Australian DVD player, or on his laptop either. We won't be doing that again......! I believe that there are multi-region DVD players that can play any type of DVDs?
Suzukiscottie
Usually a dvd player can have it's region set to zero, allowing all dvd discs to be used. Google is your friend! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

Google is your friend! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free We did this when we were over here on holiday once, years ago. It involved pressing certain buttons in a particular order but it worked and meant our (then) young child could watch his UK DVDs we had brought with us.
