Yes, we still talk about the pedestrian crossings too, two years on........!!

I don't know, sorry, but hopefully someone on here can help......

I just Googled it, and all Google could find was this thread on PIO..........!
-
The original post is pretty old ........ April 2008 ...... and the OP hasn't posted anything on PIO since 2009. Wonder if it all worked out for them....?

Don't worry about it - I had to double-write my Welsh text, as auto correct and predictive text was playing havoc with it!

Da iawn am ddysgu Cymraeg! (Well done for learning Welsh!). Definitely honorary Welsh!

No, you won't need to get your skills assessed by AITSL. Good luck with it all!

Hi all, Yes, Primary School Teacher 241213 is still on the CSOL, towards the bottom of the list. I think the main problem is the fact that it is on the CSOL means that you need state sponsorship. Only a few states have it on their lists, and all but one (Victoria) need you to have a job offer. Victoria needs you to be able to teach certain languages. Hope this helps!

Yes, and they like chips too, just like UK seagulls .......

If you let us know what your jobs are, people on here will certainly help with advice. Below are the links to the SOL (Skilled Occupation List) and the CSOL (Consolidated Skilled Occupation List)...... http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/sol.pdf http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/csol.pdf

I'm afraid that WA have recently put Primary School Teacher on Schedule 2, which means they want you to have "an offer of full-time employment for 12 months in nominated region in nominated or closely related occupation".

Primary School Teacher (6 years) looking for sponsorship to teach in NSW
Del70 replied to JP and A's topic in Visa Chat
Yes, part of the contract with the Exchange is that you return to the same school. Exchanges are usually for a year, starting January (beginning of Oz school year). Amazing experience! For us it would have to be a 190 Visa with state sponsorship as Primary School Teacher is on the CSOL not the SOL, which means you need state sponsorship. We have no option really but a 190 visa, as we're getting on a bit!- 16 replies

Hi! Are you the main applicant for the Visa? Primary School Teacher 241213 is on the CSOL, so you would need state sponsorship. Also, have you had your skills assessed by AITSL? Good luck with it all!

We are still in Wales - did a Teacher Exchange a few years ago in Australia and would love to go back, but it isn't easy! Have you had your skills assessed with AITSL yet? It's a lot of paperwork to gather, and can take a few months for the assessment to come through.- 16 replies
