AFAIK: You have to put in an occupation related to the skill you were assessed in.... this will be their basis for sponsoring you... and this would suggest that you will not be a burden to the region because you will be able to get work.

Hi Richard, with regards to the IETLS, why did you say that your wife needs to take the academic?; I also went the 190visa route; I took the General/Basic type, I just needed to have a score of at least 7.5 on all subjects; better check the requirements for your wife. Also, be prepared for the financials/statement of assets, I do not know how much is the minimum requirement for Adelaide... better check that one too... and finally, we were not eligible for any government support for the first two years... but it might be different in your case since you have children.. but better check it out also. Wii games are set by regions... also, Australia uses the PAL system for the signal/video; im not familiar with England though.
