ASHGOON Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share Posted July 15, 2012 Di Stefano couldnt play in all the world cups,decree by FIFA,he played for 3 countries btwLikewise players like Puskas and the great Hungarian teams which were the original "total footballers" i think with those players its more a case of tv not being around enough during that era..i really would love to have seen the hungarians in action from that time. ASHGOON Posted July 15, 2012 Author Share Posted July 15, 2012 Just out of curiosity,trophies or CL qualification,what dyer want more?? bit of a straw poll on the present day fan btw... in this day and age, i'll take CL - only the premiership/champions league titles rate higher. can't imagine for us that winning the carling cup and not making the CL would be considered a success, in fact for us, without rich benefactors it would be a disaster.. I need to discuss arsenal's chances for the season, how much i despise chelski and city, how grudgingly i actually admire manure etc... so if anyone wants to discuss the new season over a pint (schooner!!), let me know. I'm in cherrybrook but can meet up anywhere!! AW's won everybody round this yr - think its something to do with 2 of his best signings in yrs in podolski and cazorla, possibly lifting us from merely good to something more.
