  1. Hi Thanh, it took mine about 5 weeks for nomination approval (nomination, not visa) after I submitted the extra documentation. But I think it varies a lot.
  2. 6 days after the last waiting time update, and they have updated them again. (It looks like the previous update was an error, I think these were the updated times which were supposed to be showing last week)
  3. I think a lot of people take annual leave for most of January, as it's school holidays. So, that's probably slowing things down.
  4. Anyone on further assessment here? And if yes, how long since your last comms with the Department?
  5. No guilt needed, we are all in the same boat, the one thing we all have in common is that we have no idea when our visa will be decided! Congratulations on the speedy grant hope you can send some of your good luck our way
  6. @Hex congratulations on your citizenship application! Just spotted it in your signature. Living the dream - hope all comes through nice and smoothly for you.
  7. Hi! Please can you advise, this 28 day rule - will they look at it 28 days after they request info, or 28 days after the due date for your response?
  8. Mine is DE, still waiting 3.5 months since nomination. Think mine is taking longer than most, but still, would advise not to hold your breath! I assumed it would be really quick between nomination and visa decision, which has made the wait feel worse.
  9. I think there are some out there, they just don't reply to the forum as much. I am a June application and I know the feeling, it seems like it's always applications from the last few months being decided, so I'm left wondering if my application got lost in the post But then people who applied before us do comment saying they've received a grant, so they do exist! I keep reminding myself that there are currently 10% of applications taking longer than 20 months (for my stream anyway)... so just cross my fingers and be ready to wait up to 20 months (and hope I'm not in that 10%!)
  10. I'm no expert but as far as I know, if your visa status is received, they have not opened it at all. So they have only looked at the nomination on its own, not your actual visa application. ie. They haven't opened it, so regardless of whether your medical did or didn't say it was in progress, nobody was watching so nobody would've seen that status. They will simply open your file at a later date and see that your medical is now complete. Again, can't say this is definitely correct, just my understanding of it.
  11. Congratulations! What a wait! Did your MA say anything about the wait being longer due to your occupation?
  12. It depends whether your nomination and visa are being assessed together. There is no way to know but to wait. If yes, lucky you! That seems to be anything from immediate decision up to a couple of weeks (longer if they have to request more documents). If they are assessed separately, there is no "usual" turn around. Some are quick (weeks), some are in excess of 6 months from the look of it, and I think a few can even take much longer than that. If you check the spreadsheet you will see some examples of different waiting times between nomination and visa decision. I would recommend not stressing out about it! My nomination was approved back in August, so I thought that meant the visa would be decided soon... but here I am, still waiting
  13. Thank you! I asked my MA whether General Accountants would take longer for this exact reason, because it's a pro rated occupation, and nigh on impossible to get a 189/190... MA said no, it doesn't make a difference. The lack of info regarding visa rules is so frustrating.
  14. Keeping my fingers crossed! Pleased about the new reduced waiting time, surely that must be a good sign!
  15. DE was previously 12-19 months. I don't have last month's wait times for the other streams, but this is the old wait times which were showing two months ago:
