  1. Hi all, I applied for my partner visa on February 1st, 2019 and now would like to apply for my permanent visa subclass 100. I know usually 2 years should have passed since i applied for 309 to be eligible for 100 but I am currently enrolled in a university and until I have the subclass 100, I have to pay the International fee. If there is a way for me to apply for my subclass 100 permanent visa just a few months earlier, I could make it just in time to enrol as a domestic student next year. So, does anyone know if I have a compelling enough reason and how to apply for Subclass 100 just a few months earlier than 2 years? If I try to lodge the online application, it asks if it has been 2 years since I applied for subclass 309 visa, so I have to select No, which then prevents the application from being sent through. Would it be a good idea to send in the paper application instead to see if that would be accepted?
  2. Hi I applied for my partner’s 309/100 visa who was offshore on 1/2/2019 309 temporary visa was granted after 5 months on 24/6/2019. now we are looking to apply for my partner’s 100 permanent visa after 17 months of initial lodgement of 309/100. Has anyone else applied for the subclass 100 onshore permanent partner visa (second half of the 309/100)? how long does it take for it process? I heard some people have been granted this visa within 24 hours to a week. Thanks

  4. @KazBaker yes actually I had about 7 to 8 overseas trips between that time. still it’s not done yet who know how long they will take to actually send an invite for ceremony. could well be Oct 2020 haha
  5. @Dreaming_when no need to congratulate just yet mate. I’m not holding my breath over getting ceremony invite any time soon . Lol its already been almost 3 years
  6. Hi Guys, I just received an email from Home affairs VIC asking if I'm interested in virtual citizenship ceremony. I replied to them with yes. Hopefully they will organise a ceremony within next few days. Applied: Nov 2017 Test: Oct 2018 Approved: Oct 2019
  7. @Dreaming_when @Lasanga Herath to those who emailed for virtual ceremony. Have you guys heard back? what was the compelling reason that you mentioned?? thanks
  8. @KazBakerTimeline is up there mate I was quoting my own post from oct 2019 Applied in Nov 2017 Test passed in October 2018 Application approved in October 2019 Ceremony: Waiting
  9. Hi Guys, I'M STILL WAITING ON CEREMONY ITS BEEN 32 MONTHS Anyone else from Shepparton city Council
  10. You will only have to pay school fee for kids if you’re on student visa yourself. I remember when I came to Australia back in 2005 I started year 9 and didn’t have to pay any school fees at all. We were back on 457 visa sponsored by employer.
  11. Ok guys after 23 months of waiting I can confirm my application has been approved today!!! [emoji322][emoji323] Applied in Nov 2017 Test passed in October 2018 Application approved in October 2019 I had to go through immigration global feedback and put in a query asking why my application has almost taken two years and still there’s no approval. It seemed to me they had forgotten about my application, they replied to my query after 2 weeks saying that the application is approved today.

  13. That’s pathetic. What a shitty process by immigration. I’m still waiting it’s been 23 months now. I still think if you re apply you will get approved before me. I see 2019 applicants getting approvals in 4 months
  14. I have given up on it now, it’s been 23 months!! 2019 applicants are getting approved with in 3 to 5 months while the 2017 applicants wait. The process is ridiculous
  15. Still here guys Applied on 7/11/2017 Test done 15/10/2018 Status: Received 22 months and counting
  16. I have similar timeline as yours. Only week apart, I applied on 7/07/2017 had test in October 18. Did you get much info from FOI ? Any explanations?
  17. You’re Citizenship application may be refused on the grounds that you’re not committed to Australia. I read this in an article where application was refused as the applicant was offshore for 3 years. The court decided that the applicant would move anywhere where he sees a business opportunity. Even though applicants kids and wife were Australian citizens. I suggest you Consult an immigration agent
  18. It recently came to my attention that 2019 Citizenship applications are already getting approved, where as applicants like me are waiting for approval from past 22 months. Please share your timeline here if you are 2017 or early 2018 Citizenship applicant. It would be great to see number of people waiting here and may provide ‘valuable insights’ of the application process.
  19. I’m the 2017 applicant it’s been 22 months. Status: Received Can we start a new thread for lost Citizenship applications from 2017?
  20. Had test done in October 2018 and they asked for birth certificate in December 2018 which was provided to immigration with in a week. Ever since then not a sound. None
  21. 21 Months today since the lodgement of my Citizenship application and still waiting...
