Hi guys, I have one more question about the photograph for the form 1195 In the above screenshot from the form - this is the section where the person who does the certification of the form and photo needs to declare and sign on the photo: 1. As per the example in screenshot above, the statement “This is a true photograph of” is in quotes.Should we also actually put this in quotes OR is it simply an example and the actual certification should not have these quotes ? 2. This section: JOHN CITIZEN (full name of applicant) - should the content inside the brackets also be written on the back of the photograph by the person certifying it or is it for our understanding only ? Also how about the underline ? 3. In this section: PSmith (signature) - should the words in brackets (signature) be also written or only a signature is sufficient ? 4. In this particular part - i.e. writing on the back of the photograph, is only the signature of the person certifying the form required OR is the name of the person certifying the form also required ? Please let me know.

  7. Hi guys, Which council to choose if you live in 2 councils ? Suppose you live in a particular city for 2 days in a fortnight and others in the fortnight in another city, then which council should you put on the citizenship application ? - rented houses in both cities - utility bills at both rented houses. - Work from home in one city for the 2 days. - May buy house in city of 2 days. Could you choose either or is there any criteria for this ?
  8. Hi guys, I have a very long name. It is 45 characters long. It has 5 words and 4 spaces in it. The longest word is 15 characters long. How to fit this on the photo that needs to be certified along with the form 1195 ? Thank you

  10. Hi Millski88, Regarding the Form 80 point in the above question. I thought form-80 was required since I read many forum posts about the application asking for details of overseas travel. So I assumed it was in Form-80 that this needs to be filled. Also, I may have read (but not sure if I have read it) somewhere in forums people submitting Form-80 for the citizenship application or being asked to upload it. Have you come across such a requirement in your reading anywhere on this ?

  12. Thank you millski88! Millski88, guys, 1. It has been about 4 years since I got this. And as of now I am a software engineer. I want to just look at various scenarios as I read the question and the reply to it 2. As I understand, I am not a sole trader. I meant to ask about Stock / Share Market traders. Like investing in stock etc. as a private individual. If share trading is how money were to be made, I am not aware of any declaration or registrations are to be made ? Do you think there are (of course I would as a tax agent) but just want to check what you meant by this ? As of now, mu income is in terms from being software person. So almost all tax deduction is from Sal. There are a couple of things I need to check though from tax perspective. 1. About a year ago, I had to pay medicare surcharge for the first timw about $1400. This was given when I lodged the tax return without a tax agent for the first time (and 2nd overall) and was not sure about how to pay it. I got busy in something and forgot about it. Then about 4 or 5 months after that I received a letter from probe collections to pay it. I opened the box about 10 days after it was delivered and I immediately paid it and it shows zero balance after that. Is this a concern ? 2. I did a masters degree in IT (part time) as a PR person. I am filed this years tax with agent and was informed the course fee is tax deductible. So the tax filing has requested a refund. Also, the prev tax return, the tax agent said can be amended and more fees can be claimed as tax deductible. I have given all the invoice to the tax agent. Is 1. claiming this tax refund and 2. filing amendment for prev tax return to claim more of the fees as tax deductible ok ? Or could there be any concern in this?
  13. Current one. I don't see a reason to put your previous one as there's nothing riding on you still being in the job you got PR on, especially 3 years later. You're allowed to be a full time student, aren't you? I'll let others chime in of course! Hi guys, Read the above quoted question (and reply) and wanted ask another question about it to clarify: - If I was a Software Engineer when given the PR, and I am just traveling around in Australia (or simply doing nothing) and living on savings when I do the application, what do I need to put ? (and is it ok to be doing this (traveling around in Australia using saving or simply doing nothing and living on saving) from the application perspective? ) - If If I was a Software Engineer when given the PR and now I am doing share trading as a private individual (not at any company or anything like that, then what do I need to put ? (and is it ok to be doing this - share trading as a private individual for living from the application perspective?) Thank you
  14. Hi Matt68, guys, I want to understand what you are saying accurately hence want to ask the below question: "I Dont have the original application and documents that were uploaded." Could you please clarify what you mean by original application ? I am confused what you are asking about ? Is it the original citizenship application ? -"and documents that were uploaded" - do you mean the original documents that were uploaded for the citizenship application ? If so, I would presume you would have them with you correct ? If so, what is the concern on this ?
  15. Hi guys, I have one more question on the form 1195. I was also considering requesting the tax agent who filed my taxes to give this for me. I filed them at H&R block and assumed that they must be qualified to sign this form. However, when I saw their contact card, the person who did the taxes for me and seemed quite well-versed in tax related matters, had their designation as "Office Manager". Do you happen to know if H&R block (or in general) happens to call a qualified ax consultant as Office manager ? Would they be qualified to sign the form ? To add, the person who did the taxes for me said that it actually goes to their HO and then gets submitted.
  16. Hi Alan, Thank you for the reply. I had approached a tax agent a few days ago and was informed that now that I am with them I could file taxes even after a few more days.The information I want to know is where do I look at the fact that I am with tax agent or that I have appointed a tax agent. I do not know if this meant that I have appointed the tax agent simply by discussion. I would like to have a print out or web portal where it says there is a tax agent appointed. I will have to double check with the tax agent (have appointment in few days, needed to get some info to them to file the taxes), but would you be able to say if there is a place where it would say online that shows I have appointed the tax agent ? would it be on ATO website ?

  18. Thank you vickplum ! So the size and other specifications (like dimensions of each part and color etc.) are exact same as the passport photo is that right ? ! I could simply ask them for same photo
  19. Hi guys Is there any particular place where I can get the photo as per the specifications for the form 1195 ? Such as some store that I can go and say I need to take photo for form 1195 - and they would know exactly the specifications of this. How did you ensure that your photo was as per the specified dimensions and other aspects for the form 1195 ? What did you ask or say ? Did you take the specification format description to the store and show them ? Thank you
  20. Hi guys, I have a couple of questions about documents required for citizenship application: - Are there any such documents that we need to submit which are not our own. Such as identity documents of family members etc ? (If only one applying) - Do we need to give all our email addresses ? I have a few such as 2 personal email IDs, official email ID and other. Do we need to give all those or only one or 2 is sufficient (I do not frequently use all the email IDs) - Do we need to give the details of all the bank accounts that we have for the application. - If in form-80 the space is not sufficient to fill all the details in additional information, how do we give more information ? do we need to scan simply get that single page from another form 80 and attach it to the form-80 that we are submitting ? Thank you
