Thank you Maggie ! A bit confused as when I called the department yesterday, they said they may or may not do the call. If we apply through a MARA agent, is it sure that they would call ? Also, is there any data on how long the 309 visa would take if we apply through a MARA agent and are here on a tourist visa ? Thank you

Hi guys, Looking to apply for a Partner Visa for wife and considering which option is best in terms of processing timws. Which Partner Visa would be better - 309 or 820 and also why is it better ? If applied for Partner visa 309, would she be able to apply and then come to stay with me till it is processed - would we know when the process is close to completed so she can be away when the visa is completed for this ? If it is 309, how do people typically do it - do they come to stay on tourist visa for a bit while it is being processed. Thank you

Hi guys, I have a question about travel on onshore partner visa - 820. If a partner applies for 820 visa while onshore on a 3 month multiple entry tourist visa, as I understand there will be a bridging visa A after the 3 months. However, is it possible for the partner to apply for the 820 visa on a tourist visa while onshore, then before the 3 months, travel abroad for a month or so and come here after that ? If so what does it mean for bridging visa A once done ? Thank you

Hi @andrew2307 Can someone actually do that ? - i.e. upload an explanation note instead of the actual document - when applying ? Also, did you happen only upload the note or also get the document signed by someone that is not on the list ? Do you think it would be Ok to get it signed by someone on that list a few months after the application has submitted ? Thank you

Hi , I am in Australia right now - and based on the calculator and existing rules, it shows to be eligible in few months. I found in some threads here that some councils such as the Sunshine coast take very long for the ceremony process to complete. Hence I just want to check which councils are good (or at least not like Sunshine coast council) - so that it does not take very long for the process.

Thank you Rammygirl. Another question from your reply The arrival stamps that you have mentioned, I think I do not have all the stamps here as they scanned it electronically. If that is how they did it, then how can I show the arrival stamps - is there any other approach for this ?

Thank you Rammy girl. What does Validated mean ? Also, you mentioned name changes. I do not have any changes to the name. However the being long , initials have been used in some documents where as full name is there in others. Is there any process for this ? Can I do a statutory declaration for this.

If so, I want to understand more about the document validation requirement for citizenship processing and what does this exactly mean ? Do we need to get all original documents, used for application, validated ? If so, what is the process to get them validated and where do we need to get them validated and ?
