@sj88 That sounds odd and shouldn't be the case (if you received /uploaded them in May this year). I suggest you contact your MA or confirm directly on your application that the AFP's were uploaded and exist - it might be a case that the MA forgot to upload them, or that they weren't uploaded for some reason. I had a similar case and had to send a copy of my certificates to my CO (on the generic email address), telling them that it had not been updated on the system - apparently, back then - there was an issue uploading these documents.

@Jerita It's a request for additional information (general message, containing a request for more information needed for the CO).

@mes That's interesting, I thought that if you got a new visa (482), you'd have to wait the required 2 years again, regardless. Are you saying that's not the case here?

@NnN Regarding this: "I have not got any decision on my visa file" --> you visa will be refused now, due to the nomination getting rejected. I agree with @sydneyishuk in that you should speak with an MA, especially as this has a timeline associated to it.

@Romwod If you go through the pages of this forum, you'll notice that there are many people in this position and many in fact, worse off. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do but wait - as difficult as it is, rest assured knowing that you're not the only one! As a plus - at least your nomination is approved, hopefully not much longer now!

@AlyceinOzland If you have lodged a PR visa application, you'd be able to view the status of same at any stage (by importing your application via the TRN number). - This is how most of the people here view their applications, regardless of if they use an MA or not Good luck!

@tomandbryan wow - 3 days for nomination to be approved, that great! Seems some applications are definitely tracking quicker these days, so hold on - it'll be coming soon! - PS: Might help everyone here, if you update your signature with your timeline details: https://www.pomsinoz.com/settings/signature/

@pravincv Funny that you came here for support and advice seeing as though it's full of "silly post on pomsinoz". @sydneyishuk is correct and there are conditions attached whereby if the employers see's fit and has evidence can lodge a complaint to Immi and they can open a case against you, resulting in the possibility of your visa being cancelled (even after grant - within the 2 years). If your preference is accepting what the MA says then please leave it there, there is no point asking this forum further, especially if it's full of "silly posts".

@Saugat You would pay a medicare levy on a 457 as well, however, you can claim it all back at TAX time (I always looked forward to this), until you lodge PR and qualify for medicare card / use. You are not qualified as someone who uses Medicare based off on if you have a card or not. It's based off PR application / approval. Regardless, if you have applied for PR or have PR, you will have to pay the levy (unless you earn under the bracket in the link provided). Opting out of private medical is a personal decision and up to you - there are consequences to this, which are also covered in the link provided. - I feel that link had pretty much all the information you needed. Outside of that, I wouldn't be able to say.

@Ovi This topic was discussed in detail in the last 5-10 pages, please go back and review them. In short, if you don't terminate you employment on good grounds and they go to immigration, there is a chance they could have a case against you and reject your PR. - This is a sensitive topic and should be handled with care. It's not worth having a case opened against you for (especially as it's only 2 years additional). When in doubt, contact and ask your MA

@Saugat You would still need to pay the levy. See this page for some in-depth simple information on same. Hope this helps. - https://www.etax.com.au/medicare-levy-versus-medicare-levy-surcharge/

@Kashif.Iqbal 1. Please don't forget that this is not the only forum out there that posts about visa application grants. 2. I'm certain there have been (many) visa's processed today (Monday) regardless of your timezone. 3. I still don't see / understand how posts like these help anyone (it's not the first)? I don't mean to pick on you, just trying to keep the thread relative, please don't take it personally.

@sahil pfs I'm sorry to call it out, but this is not true. - Please confirm your information before posting on the forum as some people trust the comments by others (I for one do). If you're not sure, rather don't post it.

@Jerita Then that's maybe the right question to ask - "I don’t know whether this waiting gets add on top of that you already waited time" To help understand, the waiting times are inclusive of your already waited time, meaning - if you've waited 8 months and the new processing time is 12 months, you'll have roughly 4 more to wait. Unfortunately, there is no exact science to this and although I can understand the frustration, it's a commitment you signed up for and something outside of anyone's control. - We have no option but to simply wait things out.

@Jerita You can post multiple posts in one go, there is no need to spam the thread with a bunch of posts, all related to the same thing. Although it looks bad, I'm not sure it's as bad as you making it out to be; - In our case, we are asking to be here, possibly not at the top of our fields / areas of expertise. - In their case, they are hand picking top candidates that they want in the country. Personally, I think this could only be better for the country. - It doesn't imply that they are going to be stopping our applications. To top it off, this is a very small portion of allocated immigrants (5000 from 160 000). That's ±3% total

@Beeshnu It could be tomorrow, or 2 more years - I'm afraid no one can answer that for you. Best suggestion is to have patience and wait, not much else we can do in these situations.

@Yun That would mean that the company / sponsorship nomination would no longer be valid and the new company (ABN number) would need to lodge a new nomination for the employer (assuming they are able / licensed to sponsor people).

Hey Guys New to this forum, active contribute on the 457-186 visa thread. I realized that it's nearly time for me to apply for citizenship and honestly have no idea where to start (I was hoping I could use an MA but it seems not many of them do this, as it's not profitable for them). I don't want to be "one of those people" (we get a bunch of them on the other forum) but short of me reading through the 193 pages here, I was hoping someone could point me to some relevant information on where to start. - My assumption is that I'd need to do it all online, via my Immi account. It feels like it should be simple but i'm afraid I know way more on 186 / 187 progression visas vs the citizenship

Thanks @pravincv, at the risk of sounding REALLY lazy / pushing my luck - do you have a link .

Hi Guys Keeping with the scope of "helping each other", I was wondering if anyone could help advise me here; I'm coming up to apply for citizenship and honestly have no idea where to start. Not many MA's assist here as it's not profitable for them and hence, I'd need to do this myself. There are a few people in my office that I could (and will) ask for assistance, but thought to start here. - I know this is slightly off topic to the forums scope but still think it could be useful to those that have PR and need to know the next steps? Thanks in advance.

@lynni193 Sorry to hear about the news, it's the first I've heard of that reason. What is your position that they can justify telling your company you're not needed in the Australia offices? - Could you update your signature please?

@Yun As long as the business ABN number doesn't change and the position is still valid, there should be nothing to worry about. - You may want to consider sending an update to the visa application - as an extra precaution, however, it may not be needed? If your MA says not to worry about it, then it's likely you don't need to worry about it.
