  1. That's so exciting!! Congratulations!! Still waiting over here...190 visas don't seem to be progressing much at all these last couple weeks.
  2. It's painful isn't it!! Let me know when you hear something! Good luck!
  3. I will keep you posted. Let me know when you get a response as well
  4. Wish we didn't have it now!! Definitely makes the waiting game worse!
  5. I've applied for the 190 on 29th June. They've processed some up until 23rd June but just seem to have stopped at that point. Feels so close, it's so hard not to keep checking!! Hope things pick up again soon. Good luck!!
  6. I have a real addiction to !! Im watching it like a hawk and its made me feel really deflated! Processing seemed to be really steaming along nicely, but its really slowed the last couple of weeks and seems to have halted at visas submitted a week before ours. Am I the only sad addict out there?? And is that a normal trend to stop and start with the processing?
  7. I think that is from the time you submit and pay. We are at 111 days so far and no c/o contact. Have you checked on immicheck? It might give you an idea of how things are going.
  8. I'm a Podiatrist and I took the general. I've applied for 190, patiently awaiting our grant
  9. Thanks. Fingers and toes crossed! Wow flights booked already...not wasting any time
  10. Hope so. Did you use an agent? The closer it gets to possible contact, the more nervous i become that I've made mistakes!...like the birth certificate! Congratulations by the way! How exciting!
  11. Omgosh thank you!! I'm sure I had read somewhere that as long as they were colour copies they didn't need to be certified, but have just uploaded my husbands full birth certificate (only had his short one on there) and noticed a little question mark next to each section on the "upload documents" section. Clicking on it it said they had to be certified copies, so panicked! Hadn't noticed that before! The whole thing seems so contradictory at times! We are at 99 days post application today, so really hoping to get a grant soon.
  12. Hi. Patiently awaiting to hear from CO...kinda have been hoping for a direct grant. Having doubts now tho...should I have had my docs certified? They are all colour scanned copies but none have been certified. TIA
  13. Sorry to hear you are still waiting Pauline! Fingers crossed you get an invite soon!
  14. Just wondering if the character compulsory declaration is a must? (Hoping clue isnt in the nane)!! Have uploaded everything else i think is required including medicals and police checks and form 80. Im talking about the ones that need witnessing by a signatory, and our nearest one is an hours drive away. Was hoping it wasn't needed. We are offshore btw.
  15. Oh I see. Sorry to hear that. I don't think you can directly apply for a 190 following a refusal. You would need to enter a new EOI for the 190 for the state you are interested in and wait for an invitation. I'm happy to stand corrected if this is wrong tho. Hope you get the result you would like.
  16. Sorry I don't fully understand your question. Did you submit and pay for an actual 189 visa after being invited to apply and then was refused? You need to be invited to apply to both the 189 amd 190 visas. Do you mean that you submitted an EOI for a 198 instead of a 190?
  17. We lodged ours June 29th for NSW. Still waiting for contact.

  19. I'm a podiatrist Pauline. I'm shocked to hear you're still waiting! Has the change in points requirements affected your eoi? Xx
  20. Would you not consider 190 state sponsored visa? I'm in healthcare and applied for NSW with 60+5 (march) and have since been invited by NSW (may) and lodged our visa end of june. x
  21. We are in the same boat as you. Applied end of June, have just done medicals and police checks and were wondering about form 80. Decided we would do it anyway, just incase. Thats my evening sorted tonight!
  22. Thanks everyone for your comments. Its intresting and reassuring hearing about other peoples experiences. My mum has known all along as we are very close, and she's been so super supportive. It's my MIL who is the worry. We mentioned the idea a couple of years ago and she shot us down instantly and we haven't dare mention it again. It is going to break her heart as we will be taking her only 2 grandchildren with us. The last thing we want to do is hurt her but there's no way around it. We want to go; we are going, and I just hope she understands our reasons one day.
  23. How did you tell your family of your intent to emigrate? How did you expect them to react, and how did they react? We are telling MIL this weekend and not expecting it to go well ?
  24. Anybody have any experience of Plymouth Nuffield Health? I'm finding it very difficult to actually get past the receptionist and get an appointment!
  25. Justme thank you! When they say you have 12 months to enter Australia after medicals or police checks, that can just be a holiday right? We dont actually have to move there within that time? We were hoping to have a scouting trip for a few weeks to check out some places to live. Also, once requested, is there a time scale that you have to submit medicals and police checks once asked?
